Hello
I’m looking for ideas on chops.
I have some otttb’s and horses ranging from foals to 18yrs.
Main base for feeds has been grazon (a plain dried grass) then I was feeding the poorer firsts Alfa a oil which I was happy with but a few recently have seemed to dislike the coarseness of the alfalfa, I was advised to use honey chop top line and shine which they enjoyed eating but it has some ingredients I don’t really want to feed and I’m wanting the effects of the Alfa this I could get by getting Alfa pellets to replace the normal pellets. My thoughts are keeping everyone on grazon and changing the nuts for poor doers (not really poor just not AQH easy)
I’m feeding the TB’s as if they have ulcers I’ve always fed this way before I knew why it worked
So any ideas on a good base chop for these few cost does and doesn’t play a part if it works then I buy it just look who has the best deals.
They are fed other bit in there feed and ad-lib hay or Haylage I always believe this is key and you get out what you put in and feed the species what it’s designed to eat if that makes sense as best you can obviously welfare first so always open to ideas and options it’s how we evolve and care for them the best xx
Thanks in advance
