Im thinking of clipping my horse for summer but have no idea on what clippers to buy? Planning on clipping my hairy cob, but keeping her feathers for time being. Dont want to spend hundreds but do want some decent clippers.
Thank you, I’ll have a look at some!I have HD Roamer rechargeable clippers, which I have had for around 7 or 8 years. I use them quite a bit as my big draft ( not in the pic) needs clipping out all year round. So good not to be juggling with an electric cable!
I’ll have a look at these, thanks!I have listers. I’ve had them 15+ years I used them a lot the first 10 years but less so now. They are still fine though. So I’d definitely buy again if they did break. I don’t really have anything to compare them to though as they have lasted so well!
just bought these and seriously impressed.I have HD Roamer rechargeable clippers, which I have had for around 7 or 8 years. I use them quite a bit as my big draft ( not in the pic) needs clipping out all year round. So good not to be juggling with an electric cable!
Same here, I think the HD Roamers are probably the best clippers I have ever used.just bought these and seriously impressed.
Just worked out I've had my Heinegers for 35 years and still going strong.Heineggers 100% we have a horse and a sheep set.
I agree, my Lister Stars get very hot quickly, would not buy again.I have gone cordless and have Wahl KMC+ for legs and Masterclip HD Roamers for body. Both are great, but as a consequence I'm selling my Lister Star. They will be cheap as I'm keeping the bag and probably the medium blades (there is a pair of unused fine blades). PM if interested. They would be great on a summer coat or fine coated horse in the winter but I don't rate them for a thick hairy winter coat. It depends what you want. I'm a pretty rubbish clipper (hence needed a smaller pair for legs) so it may be my lack of skill that gave me a poor experience with the Lister Star on a heavy coat
