I've had 3 bengals, who whilst beautiful and hilarious to have around were very high maintenance and none made it past 12 years old. :(

I now have a horde of gingers (1 from the farm cat and the other 2 rescues) and i dont think i will have anything but ginger boys again!

I'm sorry to hear that none of your 3 Bengals made it past 12 years of age. But I'm glad to hear that you now feel that you've sort of found your niche when it comes to cat owning, and have the Ginger Boys horde (sounds like the name of a rebellious/mischievous boy band).

I have 2 Chocolate point Siamese siblings who've just turned 3 this April. Then I also have a Blue and White rescue boy and a Ginger girl who I got for free off of my old riding school when their barn cat had an accidental teenage pregnancy litter before they could get her spayed lol.
I would love to see the two Siamese :)
I've spent a lifetime with Meezers and Ori's, and always love seeing other people's.

The boy one, he's called Rolo and he's an absolute menace. Very typically Siamese in his personality: Very vocal, extroverted and social. He thinks he's a dog and will come on walks with us and will practically sleep on top of our whippets.

The girl one, she's called Chai. Much more introverted and shy than her brother. Still vocal but much less social, she mostly tolerates the dogs but won't cuddle them like Rolo does, she's definitely more of a one-person Velcro cat than he is too.

Beautiful cats , blues most of all, and a breed i've always wanted myself. I almost bought a sorrel one years ago , but felt my household was a bit busy for one
Ours was very dog like, super friendly and playful and my dad liked the fact she had a Cotswold stone coloured tummy. She arrived as a tiny ex-breeder with a hideous womb infection and stayed with us until she was 17.

We also had another Siamese cross tabby who was the most beautiful chocolate with feint markings, he was huge, he had been kicked by kids in his old home town so had a plate in his leg so couldn’t sit with that leg folded so all my childhood cat drawings had one leg sticking out. He was super accident prone and we lost him to an RTA age 5 (although I have my suspicions it may have been my dad that hit him by accident on our drive).

The type of Siamese cats currently being bought now seem very different to mine. He was bought in the mid-1970's, and had a much more chunky head and somewhat shorter, wider-based ears.
Perhaps breeding types have changed to be more extreme? A bit like some of the seahorse-type Egyptian Arabians seen at some of the shows?

They have changed a lot Ratface( and not always for the best) but the classic old style appleheads still exist in the UK . Over here they are called Thai type Siamese . xx

Beautiful😻😻 Very neat and not too extreme. Lovely eye colour too on Rolo.
It's amazing how different they can be , even with the same parents
I've just the one chocolate tabby Siamese girl at the moment , and 3 Orientals. Rosie Siamese is quiet and gentle, but also really funny . She adores my female Weim. The Ori's are loud, in your face, and super affectionate. My chocolate boy's favourite place is on my shoulder.( trying to type with him there now) I think I am probably very lopsided now !They have been my passion for 40 years ,and I can't imagine my life without 1.....or 3...or 5 :D
Thank you for posting yours. They are really lovely .

I don't know why black cats are unpopular. Seem very nice to me. My parents have a black cat and she loves snuggles and they deliberately wanted a black one. They had a black before called Sooty and now have lovely Missy. Both very friendly.

I’ve had two tortoiseshell sisters that lived to 16 and 18. Adored them. Then I got a solid black kitten and a ginger as I’d always wanted a ginger. Despite being the most loving cat he went off and lived with an old lady and my black cat who was very loving died at only 8 a few months ago. In the meantime I got a second black kitten from a rescue now two who is a bit weird and I’m taking on the 15yr old yard cat also solid black.

I’d love another ginger but will probably go for black because they’re unpopular and harder to rehome.

All very beautiful Skinnydipper 😻. Is that a Havana I spy in the mix ? The little tabby Siamese in the middle is gorgeous , and very modern. The ear/ head shape suggests Eastern European influence. Did you lose him/her young?

Yes, Havana, well spotted Shady. She was an ex breeding queen. She had never been outside when I got her. She enjoyed the garden.

The lilac tabby was a character, unfortunately he was killed on the road outside our house. Hit and run. The driver knew, I heard the screech of brakes and looked out of the window, the car drove off.

The big tabby on the sofa was half Siamese, the result of unplanned mating when his mother escaped when she was in season. He was one of her kittens rehomed by a cat rescue.

Oh that is a cruel loss SD😥 I am so sorry
Your beautiful grey cat reminds me so much of one of my first rescues called Mally. I loved him so much, and also lost him to a rta when he was about 5.
Love your creamy tabby on the scratching post. He has amazing eyes. xx

Thanks, Shady. She is a tiny little thing, from a farm. She is sitting on the top platform of an outdoor cat tree that OH built for her, she can keep an eye on things from there :)

I haven't had a pure white, silver or standard tabby!

I've had a blue Persian, Sealpoint Persian, torties, ginger, black, blue/cream tabby, black and white, and now 'ticked' tabbies (they look Abyssinian in markings, but not in features).
