Should I buy?

I have been out and brought a load of new tack, saddles, yard equipment, rugs etc for my new horse. They are all red and black because I like red and black. I now need to find a pony desperately so I can dress him in all his new things and ride him, could you please advise me as to what coloured horse I should buy, what would go best with red and black stuff.

Thanks :)

*just couldn't resist after the 'inane threads' post* :D:D

My colours are Red and black and they look great on my Dark Dark Bay, (black in the winter). I have red as the base colur with black as spots or the second colour. she is called Lady Bug hence the spots!!!

thanks for that, have had a look at the horses for sale and the only ones I can see that I like are skewbald, do you think it will be alright to buy one of those and bleach the black bits white?

Also I an 6ft 2 and they are all 12hh, I have black and red rollerskates if I wear these to make my feet roll along the floor will this be ok? I was thinking of getting some lights put in the wheels for night time riding too, do you know where I can get that done?
:D:D:D:D

I should think all of this will be fine. Will look great.....if everybody had lights on the roller skates in the dark then we would get these accidents. Good low light drills. Cake for you!!:D

I don't think it matters. Just get one you like the sound of, then if it doesn't suit, send it back! I'm sure the old owner won't mind...
(sorry, couldn't resist!)

bleaching is perfectly safe as long as you use 20 parts bleach to 1 part water.

and you are only allowed to ride with the rollerskates if you have you BHS stage 10 im afraid -

A purple horse will clash with the red rugs etc, so may as well get a red & black horse, then if the stuff doesn't fit, noone will know because it will all blend in! ;)

Oooh good idea, I could still get a piebald and dye his white bits red, I could also get my black rubber matting and dye his shavings red to go on top (or if I leave them in long enough they will probably go that colour anyway – bleurgh)

Could also buy some petal over reach boots in black and red (I used to love the flappy noises they made when I was a kid)

Excellent! And, and, and you could get some red and black wallpaper and curtains for his stable too.. that would be sooo like, super cool!! :D

Get a piebald, and spray the white bits red. Hey presto, matchy matchy red and black horsey!

cross post! 'Great minds...and all that... :)

we'll this little man bucks, kicks, bites and rears etc... I am persevering with riding him though although I do find it hard to see a stride when he jumps or even where i am going when he bolts but PP tells me I will get used to the backward facing saddle mommy and papa brought me for 5 squillion quid, it comes in black and red ofcourse with my own black and red carrot twig. Apparently it is much more natural for the horse and balances their weight properly. :p :p

Get a brown horse, brown is neutral, classy and goes with anything, plus you will not have to bother brushing the mud and poo off.

but I WAAAAANNNNT to use my red and black grooming kit, I also have red and black bows for his mane and tail.

and I have red and black brace elastics to go in my mouth so we iz matchin :D

Black...cos black goes with everything , and there will be loads of new colours next year so you will need to change everything!!!!!!! Oh don't worry you can change the horse if it doesn't go with the nice new colours.

Don't buy a ginger - will clash with red :p

 No it won't!!

I think you should go with the piebald idea and paint the white bits red :p
