what colour tack on a chestnut..?

I always thought it should be brown for a chestnut.

Black only for greys and coloureds.

I have brown on mine, never black as it looks too harsh. Tan looks great too.

I have kate negus chestnut on my, er chestnut.

Looks very smart IMO. I wouldn't go for black on a chestnut, brown/havana looks much smarter.

My pony is chestnutty roan and wears brown tack - bridle is very dark, looks almost black though

you can get that really nice orangey colour tack which my friend uses on her chesnut and it look so good

havana on my chesnut one

i wanted a black dressage saddle, but hubby says it won't suit Dizz

now trying to imagine brown dressage saddle with black long boots etc (on me).

Havanna tack on any colour horse, and black boots for rider. but use neutral boot polish on the inner part of the boot leg.

Here is London Tan on a chestnut. Some like it, others might not.

Not a clue who this is.

Personally, I prefer chestnut horses wearing havanna tack.
