Thanks everyone. I still don't know what's caused it but he is having it cleaned and steroid cream on daily and it's showing a marked improvement
Not knowing what it is is a bit frustrating though ?

My cob always gets a bit crusty around muzzle when it rains/ she gets wet. She's got a sensitive muzzle area, but always gone within few days

Thanks, that's helpful to know. Never had the problem before but there's a first time for everything...the steroid cream is helping massively ??
