Well, today was PAYDAY... can I get a Yay:D:D:D

So today I splurged a bit on Ben...;):D

I ordered a ton of LWP pellets... arriving on wednesday. I cleared the stable out as there was no way it was going to last till mid next week and went to the local feedstore who have started stocking pellets, I bought 8 x 10kg bags and made a lovely clean bed for my cleanly clipped boy... I also got a bag of alfa oil, as he isn't eating the fast fibre with the gusto he used to, and he was on Alfa oil last winter anyway. Well it just so happens that the feedstore is conveniently next door to the tack shop:rolleyes: It would have been rude not to go in, but I was quite restrained for me and only bought 2 things... A really nice headcollar that I have been coveting... all padded and fluffy, and a nice new bit for ben. Similar to what he already has (a 5.5 inch, loose ring, copper mix double joint with lozenge) Now he has a Neue Schule loose ring double joint with lozenge) his new one has slightly larger rings and is 5.75inch)

Very pleased with my shopping effort and stinking of horse urine from cleaning the stables out I then decided to celebrate and stopped off at spar to buy some mulled wine.... Im now sat drinking hot mulled wine with extra brandy...

Oh and cheers :D

my payday isnt until next week :( but im buying them an equissage massage pad :)

today i clipped Taz... he didnt look hugely impressed and its a bit wonkey as he spooked at the tractor and i clipped a chunk out :o ahh well you can only see one side at a time!

i dug out the deep litter of Rio's box today and started again and i gave him the choice today as to whether he wanted to go out or not as he has decided that outside is no longer fun :o he did go out while it was sunny but then he wanted to come in again and i highly doubt he will want to go out at all tomorrow with the weather forcast! but i will give him the choice anyway :)

I gave my two's hooves a damn good scrub and slathered them in hoof protector goo

Payday not till next week here too :(

Teeth and physio for two horses.

Well thats me £200 lighter - I didn't want that lovely cashmere jumper anyway!

LOL :D When we were clipping ben yesterday, we twitched him and I noticed he was bleeding... looking closer it was coming from one tooth... it looks flat at the bottom and there is a gap and a sharp edge so I think its a cap, but I thought he lost them all in the summer... I managed to collect three :D anyway, I have just called my EDT as we are close to 6 months anyway... Oh and my springer spaniel who is 11 yrs old has been barking at shadows... well actually at nothing, not even shadows... so calling the vet to have a bit of an investigation... MORE MONEY!

I sat outside for 2hrs in the freezing cold so he could have some time pottering loose on the yard chatting to his mates. (he has been on box rest for a week, tendon injury plus now cellulitis in same leg) I can't leave him out unattended as he's a great escaper, so just sat up there in the cold.

I have only just got paid for Oct! And I just retopped up on feed and supplements.

I will get paid for november next week or the week after and am renewing my BD membership and buying spot bott a magnetic rug. There is also a 20% off everything sale at r&r on 1st and 2nd December so I may have to go and treat myself, especially as I also have sx £5 vouchers :D

I got out the sewing machine and replaced the velcro on two Rambo hoods. Very tedious job as the sewing machine objected to the industrial nature of the task! Also sewed cross-surcingles onto my girlies' Thermatex as it only had a thin belly strap. Think I need a lie down now!

Oh that reminds me, I need to update bens insurance... more money

Nothing today, but I spent £400 on a hay delivery yesterday. I hurt my back stacking it too, so the darn beasts had better be grateful! :p

Nothing but my effing horse has a shoe off (and I'm meant to be out both days this weekend) so I guess I'm putting that back on.

I could swing for her sometimes I really could. I'm sure she does it on purpose

I know she does infact. Her field mate had the farrier this morning for a cast shoe. Mine pulled hers off just after they left. Grrrrrr Nitty. You are NOT funny

I went to Ingatestone today and bought:
Crib Ox
Stubben Bridle - ouch!
Fleece for my daughter - Xmas pressie
Gloves for my daughter
Haylage net
Mane comb
Dog toy

Oh and lunch for me and my friend....... yum!

I took advantage of the decent weather and not working a weird shift and actually schooled for the first time in nearly 2 weeks today...horse not so impressed! Poo-picked entire field, dug out wet patches from bed and made up hay nets for next week...

Then I bought 5 litres of pig oil, some thrush spray, bedding and pro hoof. Booked farrier and dentist. Phew! Don't think the money stays in my account long enough for it to register sometimes :o

Sounds like a good day! I'm looking for a similar bit. aAs you are in cornwall, hope you don't mind me asking, which tack shop did you get it from?

I got it from cornish saddlery in helston, they got the new stock in this week and they are over £10 more expensive:eek: so I bought one of the older style ones for £46, the rings on the older ones are slightly larger in diameter than the new ones. You can find them on FB, or give them a call, if you need it posting they could probably sort that out for you :D

Fab thank you, will have a look for them on facebook :)

I took all the apples that were left out at our conference today. I waited until the end of the day, rather than ripping them out of hungry conference goers' hands. Was tempted though! Snaffled around 20 apples.

Bought new salt lick for Bee, carrots and garlic for both of them. Took Tom for a walk then gave him a good wash before snuggling in him box. Bee had a good leg wash and then snuggled him up as well.

I just won a lovely new eskadron headcollar set of eBay. My OH laughs at me because he says you shouldn't call it winning, just buying..... I won though :)

Bought? Nothing.

Did? Hmmm . . . well I poo picked the field, gave him a really good groom, put vaseline on the rub wounds on his fetlocks before I turned him out and then brushed off the mud and sprayed with aloe vera spray before bandaging when he came in, I turfed out two full wheelbarrows of muck from his stable this morning, filled and hung up two haynets, sorted out his water, soaked his speedibeet, fed him, fed him carrots, gave him a scratch . . . didn't buy myself new muckers because I can't afford them/spend all my money on him, didn't buy myself new jods because I can't afford them/spend all my money on him, didn't buy myself new gloves (to keep my hands warm) because I can't afford them/spend all my money on him . . . oh, and I put up with the rather frosty atmosphere on the yard/ran the gauntlet of general nastiness to make sure his every whim was catered for.

P

Well the buying doesn't stop for me.... Am off to buy a new body brush... How the hell I manage to lose them I have no idea!!!! Anyhow getting a nice new body brush from the saddlery and then going to have a play. Have also booked dentist for Wednesday which means more sedaline!!!! After that my spending should be done for the month!!! Oh and my new iPad turned up today and orange upgraded it to the super duper best one because I've been waiting for 4 weeks! So I'm chuffed to bits :D
