Im an emergency vet nurse...the utterly rediculous 15 hour stupid o clock shift
I also have my own boarding business cats/dogs
I have behavioural qualifications...and Im thinking of doing a refresher and offering my services...as only ever helped those who took a rescue dog from me
I also groom/style dogs in my spare time..what spare time
Im thinking o giving my nursing job up to concentrate on the other jobs....cos im runnin me sell ragged
Amazing how many unhappy current civil servants (and happy ex ones) there are on here. I too am an ex civil servant and I hated my job which involved moderating a boring IT forum, interviewing people about IT and oh, goodness knows what else, it was too boring to remember ....
I now run my own website and have two lovely horses because I can work flexible hours - a lot of hours, definitely, but hours which suit me and my horses.
I work for social sevices in mental health mostly love it and the shifts fit in well with the horses and family.Off sick at the mo as i got injured in the line of duty! Not so badly that I cant ride so having fun with the neddies for a week or so
I'm a chartered librarian and I manage and run a busy central library, I used to love my job, but the council politics are wearing me down, although it is more bearable now that it pays for George!
I'm a Telecomms Analyst - build phone systems and change call routing all day - look after anything telecomms including international freephone numbers, 0800's, 0845's etc for a large Financial Institution speacialising in Foreign Exchange
I work for http://www.ngms.eu.com/ in the Software Products and Support department. I produce the licences to enable customers to use the products and the physical media (CDs) and send them out. We deal with interesting people like NATO and also get UORs (Urgent Operational Requirements) from UK and some foreign Special Forces (oh, do I ever LURVE the SAS and the SBS -yum). If I tell you any more I'll have to kill you - it's all secret squirrel stuff
Over my gap year i've been working as a freelance rider. Have quite a few people now so i'm pretty much fully booked monday - friday, have a couple spaces left on mondays and wednesdays though. Just upped my prices as was charging next to nothing and couldn't live on it.
Student, however when not at uni I work full time at a cocktail bar/club to pay for the horse and pay off the overdraft debt that has occured because of the horse!
I clean part time at the moment but don't plan to stay doing it forever even though the job fits in really well, is really close to me and the hours suit.
I want to get into racing journalism again though as I miss it terribly
