What do you feed your dog?

Wainwrights Senior Salmon and Potato (he is only three and a half but he can't tolerate high levels of protein) and then days where he has chicken wings, turkey legs, etc, butchers bones a couple of times a week, he also gets oily fish and a culture grown in milk.

GSD, 3.5yo, pet mainly but we do competitive tracking and mountain hiking/jogging.

I feed my dogs raw from the butchers plus Skinners Ruff and Ready (Springers x2, Golden Retriever and Large Munsterlander). Other two (springer with colitis) has Harringtons plus NatureDiet (or mashed potato/rice/boiled egg) and Springador pup (6 months old) has Skinners Puppy plus NatureDiet Puppy. Hubby-to-be feeds his disgustingly spoilt Standard and Minature Poodles on Tescos ready-cooked chicken, braising steak etc. I think he thinks I'm mean to my dogs..................his revolting dogs are SO spoilt! (Saying that, the minature is quite cute.......)

Skinners Field and Trial. He's a 3yo cocker, mostly a pet though he has been beating last season and hopefully will again, and we do plenty of training too so he gets treats when we're doing that:)

KeepersCottage - was it your golden retriever that had hip dysplasia? How is that going?:)

The puppy gets Skinners field & trial puppy dry and salmon mousse from fish 4 dogs

Older two get skinners salmon and rice. Also give them pilchards in tomato and sometimes mince mixed in for their tea. I feed skinners because I think it's a really good food and is very reasonably priced. The dogs all do very well on it and have lovely shiny coats. I was tempted to go raw a few months back but it just wasn't gonna be practical for me but happy with what I'm feeding now. They also get the fish whoppers again from fish 4 dogs as their daily treat and the odd juicy bone from the butcher when they have them in!

Oh and they are labs. Started working the older 2 late last yr, beating and picking up. Puppy to follow suit in time!

Pip, working cocker, professional bed warmer but enjoys her walks.
Fed Asdas own chicken wings or lamb bones from the butchers and pilchards in tomato sauce twice a week. Has some of whatever veg we have in an evening. Carrot or banana as a treat.
However she nibbles babies rusks because he thinks it's funny to share them and has the off cuts of meat I cook (fat off steak that sort of thing)

Our first foray into raw (Nature's Variety Lamb) worked well for my Boston terrier, but was a disaster for the pug, as Nature's Variety adds small amounts of chicken fat to their food, no matter what the flavour. Our most recent foray into raw (Primal Pet Foods Pheasant) has been a resounding success for both dogs. The pug's skin allergies are at ten percent of what they were previously.

We also feed them freeze-fried tripe, sardines, blueberries and carrots. My two are professional park moochers/weekend hiking warriors.

Fishmongers Salmon and potato, ad lib (we just leave it down for him, he eats as much as he wants whenever he wants). Plus 'extras' like sardines, scrambled eggs, leftover meat (he's got roast chicken today!).

He is a 1 yr old JRTx, who keeps himself busy guarding the house, keeping local bruiser cats out of the garden, ensuring the safety of my stable, and fetching a ball. According to the vet he is a 'very fit dog'.

We have a Grey and he is fed on Autarkey dry food with two thirds of a tin of sardines in tomato sauce in it.

He loves it and the fish gives his coat a lovely shine, mind you that might be the Baileys Outshine he steals from my horses bucket while i'm making up the feeds.

I have 4 dogs varying in size from medium (lab x spaniel) to small (schipperkee) and I feed Omega Maintenance complete and once or twice a week mine get raw chicken wings/thighs and petmince when I can bear to buy that stuff.
I really believe raw is best but do not have the freezer space for it. One days once the kids have flown..........

Our Birtish Bulldog & American Bulldog are fed the BARF diet, so raw meats, raw eggs, raw veggies etc.

They dont smell, breath doesnt smell, they're always "regular" and they're happy!

Wouldnt feed any other way now...

Dylan is a 20 month old lab.

He has raw meaty bones, oily fish, eggs & offal, plus he helps himself to plenty of partly digested vegetable matter in the form of horse, sheep & cow poo! He loves his food & is doing very well on this diet. I swapped him over from Burns puppy at about 5 or 6 months old as he was sucking the kibble up so fast that his rib cage was expanding & I was worried that he would choke or get bloat.

Before Dylan I had a rescue collie who I swapped over to raw at the suggestion of my trainer. The collie was hyper on kibble & the change in diet certainly helped to calm him down a little, although a lot of training was also put in & we still didn't manage to sort all of his issues, but that's another story.

My fourteen and a half yr old whippet x has James wellbeloved dry (any of the flavours) plus either butchers tripe mix or butchers choice foil trays. She also has james wellbeloved pouches. Oh and ham, cheese, chicken and treats. Well she is a grand age and she just gets given whatever she wants now xx

2x9 month old puppies are raw fed and have been from quite early on.

Big dog, 8, is mostly raw fed with Orijen and Nature Diet supplements. The pups sometimes get Nature Diet for breakfast or Wainwrights trays.

They're all springers.

My two - 13 year old cocker and 3 year old Labrador - both have a mainly raw/barf diet and they have Skinners occasionally when necessary. They mainly have tripe, chicken wings, bones, whole fish(oily), offal, tinned oily fish, raw eggs etc they supplement their diet with veg by nicking veg from the baskets in my larder and stealing horse food and eating horse poo....:D:D

What do they do? that ranges from bugger all to behaving like hooligans.....:rolleyes::rolleyes::D:D:D
