Random Monday afternoon post alert!
What do you feed your horse(s)? Don't worry about quantities or anything. Including supplements.
Maiden gets Mollichaff Original, just so I can put her supplements in, of which she gets NAF Pink Powder, NAF biotin, NAF 5* Superflex, and garlic granules.
Once she's out of Pink Powder I'm going to stop with all the silly supplements and she'll instead be getting a handful of Dengie Hi-Fi Lite, TopSpec balancer or supplement (don't know which as I have yet to ring their helpline), and some sort of glucosamine supplement (probably the cheap Gold Label one).
Now it's your turn!

Sarnita is on light work at present.
Hi Fi Lite
Cool cubes
Synequin (prevention better than cure)
Formula 4 Feet
Salt
Garlic
Echinacea
When working properly it would change to
Alfa A
Falcon Comptition Mix

Arch has Anti Lam coz its high yeast and it helps his runny poo's be not so runny! Along with Badminton Herbal chaff, wendels herbal calmer, pink power and garlic.
Max has calm and condition, apple chaff, garlic and two bute!

Both have carrotts too!

Topspec, Hifi Original, Allen and page comp mix light, Cider vinegar and in the summer garlic. In winter Hifi will change to ALfa A oil, and mix will change to Alfa Beet.

Jells gets soaked fibre nuts, brewers yeast and the occasional carrot
Lukey gets soaked fibre nuts, fibrebeet, mollichaff showshine and brewers yeast, plus carrots. As he's looking well on that I doubt I'll change his diet too much for the winter, although the showshine may be changed for alfa a oil if I think he needs it.

Alfa A- but he prefered Ready grass so may swap back onto that.
Dodson + Horrell Sure-Grow
Succulents
Sugar/Alfa Beet when he starts to look like a steeplechaser.
Also need to up my game and get a bigger bag of BOSS! Am trying to keep diet as simple as poss and avoid unneccessary powdered supplements, so the alfa and BOSS are for his cruddy feet.
Oh! and access to a salt lick 24/7.

Min gets:

Hifi lite
Pasture Mix
Naf Super Flex
Coligone (gassy tum and [whispers] has been known to windsuck

)
NAF Linseed Oil every other day
in winter he also gets sugar beet

Mine has Allen & Page Sustain, Alpha A original, NAF Superflex, NAF Pink Powder, NAF Linseed Oil, NAF Cider Vinegar and NAF Electro Salts (when worked especially hard). OMG - I sound like a NAF freek!

I have only just realised how much he has - and that it is all NAF!

Interesting to see how many people change diet for winter and how many don't!
Oh and I should have said in my original post that Maiden is overweight (

) and un-worked and out 24/7.
prittstick - I have always been really bad with supplements, hence why I'm changing to TopSpec so I haven't got an excuse to give her anything more! She'll be on the glucosamine supplement because I can't afford the TopSpec one and want her to have something for her joints. It'll be nice not to be shoving loads of powder in her feed!

Mine is in light to medium work and has the following:
Hi-fi lite
Pasture mix
Stroppy Mare
Apples/Carrots/Hay (when she comes in for rug changing/waiting for a ride/grooming etc).

Feed same all year, just adjust the quantities

Max has:

Top spec balancer
Top spec cool condition cubes
Speedi beet
Hi Fi
Linseed oil, garlic
Carrots, apples and pears

Potentially fat warmblood currently out of work:

Hi Fi Lite
Bailey's LoCal balancer
Cortaflex
garlic
Oil
apples/carrots

When he is in full work I add Tiger Oats to this ration.

Oops I didnt mean in my post to sound rude about supplements! I was a Codlivine girl but then thought I didnt want to feed my horses fish! And will only resort to Pink Powder (fab stuff ....hehe) if horse doesnt pick up after a few days worth of Guinness!!
Prefer trying to supplement naturally ie alfalfa, BOSS for feet etc or only do supplements on Vet/Professional advice.
It comes from making feeds on several large livery yards! The amount of powders that owners buy after a trip to the feed barn!

cool mix ATM, i was giving them molli chaff too but ran out couple of weeks ago and didn't bother.

in winter the 2 boys will have:
cool mix
molli chaff
sugar beet
oil

and my colt will have
?
?
?
stud mix

My horse gets alfalfa and fibre nuts.
Sounds like nothing compared to the ammount some people feed!
But he is a natural nutter so doesn't need much extra energy!
Also gets ad lib hay and daily turnout.
He is in light/medium work.

The two fatties get a very small handful of High Fibre Cubes. Old pony gets Alfa Beet and old horse gets Alfa Beet, oil and micronised barley.
