I was paying £25 for a trim but switched farriers recently and now pay £40 for a trim however, I am thoroughly impressed with his work and horse is too!!! I'm in Surrey

The last shoes I paid for 18 months ago were £60 for fronts only. The farrier charges £30 for a trim and £35 to remove shoes and then trim.

The last time I had a horse shod I paid £25 for a full set, very glad all mine are now barefoot!

£25 for a trim, £75 for a full set. Another who comes to the yard is £35 for a trim and £90 for a full set, down in Dorset. My farrier hasn’t put his prices up for about 3 years though…

When I first got him (20 years ago!) I remember paying £35 for a full set, long gone are those days lol.

About standard for around here (North Hampshire), but the VAT does then put him on the slightly higher end.

But he's a great farrier, easy to get hold of, and replacing lost shoes is free.
