It was OH ideas, so I will give him all the credit.
He suggested organising a mass walk/play time once a month for anyone to join and charge (he had £2 per dog) in mind, to go to our rescue. I just spoke to a lady who bring hers neo mastiff to us frequently to socialise, and she has just gotten another dog to run the idea past her, as it would be people like her we would encourage to join (she was thrilled and count her in, and said yes, and charge more :eek::D
We have alot of people wanting their dogs to walk with ours (cos obs we have a mahusssive playful pack), as there are few places where u can do it safely or people that would want their dog mixing through fear (generally thier own) of their dogs scrapping e,t,c, which obs we could prevent, and obs we know alot of dogy people, esp ones we have rehomed dogs too, but they dont know each other, so we would introduce them all and all their dogs :D:D

Does this make sense and is it a good idea or not so ? :p
I could make them all wear adopt a dog hoodies too LMAO :D:D
 
Betsy asked me to let you know that yes she would LOVE to chew as many other dogs tails as possible on a regular basis as long as some of the pooches chase her for as loooooooooong as possible.

Seriously we would pay alot more than two bloomin squids for a fun day like this. Especially since B is a bit special needs when it comes to meeting new dogs (STILL in the 'look im just a tiny little puppy, please dont eat me, squirming around on the floor' stage) Mams pup would burst with excitement at a day like that! Shame her recall resembles that of a dead rat.

Doooooooo it! Get me some flyers for these things and I cant put them up at work.
 
We have a group like this with www.meetup.com it now has over 200 members.

We charge $5 a year and have loads and loads of different walks, hikes, training sessions ect.

If you search south sound canine adventures you will see what it looks like.
 
I too think its an excellent idea but just watch out for yourself Cayla - you will no doubt be quizzed and asked for advice on all sorts of things and then you will end up feeling responsible for some puppy's behaviour to be corrected and before you know it you will be doing complete training sessions for free!!

Also, just make sure your kennel insurance covers such an event.
 
Fantastic idea! Wish I was closer! H would love it!

My dog trainer does it every now and again. She organised one when Harley was about 5 months just after he was attacked by a Springer on a walk and was then scared of any quick moving dogs and barking. So she organised a group of dogs and it was just what Harley needed, never had a problem again.

Ok then seen as u are an honerary adopt a dog hoody owner :D
I would maybe split then into smaller dogs and bigger dogs, esp for the free play as opposed to walks, to stop the litteluns being squished by the biggies, or only invite certain biggies to the littlies play :D:D
Your mams pup would prob love OH dog walking pack, cos they are all crazy playing freaks, esp the male weim.
 
That's a fab idea, my mum goes out with a group from her agility club, they organise walks in the Huddersfield area. Great for socialisation. I have been taking my new dog out with my friend who has a pack of 3 various breeds and Toby loves it, he is brilliant off the lead with them. I am going to look to see if anyone does it in this area as I live alone on a big stud so socialising with other dogs doesn't happen much and I think it is important to keep it up.

Yeah, im bracing me self for the advice stuff:eek:, Im wondering re the insurance aspect, Im not sure if asking those who joining to be insured or us trying to get it, is the best way.

Arrange one in the next 3 weeks perleeeease. I will also Pay for Luna to play (OH is off work + OH sees his precious B having loads of fun with a booootiful Luna = I win:p)

Mams pup is actually a lovely dog, despite what I say:rolleyes: But yes she is a crazy looooon:o
 
A couple of bloody weeks:eek:..yeah right.....and where will I get the time :rolleyes: maybe Betsy and Gizzy can have a mini meet up ;) to prepare for the big meet up, I was thinking more when the weather starts to finer :rolleyes:
 
Sounds a great idea, I would go to something like that as long as I knew there was someone competetent "in charge". Evie had a great afternoon yesterday playing with daughters housemates spangle, even though he didn't appreciate being bashed with a large paw. I would love to her to mix with more dogs, bit blooming far to come up to you though.:p
