I love photography and video as you all know. I especially enjoy capturing Armas movements when he is at liberty.
I took this today and thought I would share it.
What do you think ? Should I crop it more to tighten in on him or not ?

I do quite a bit of horse photography, Im no expert but I know a bit.

Obviously photography like any art is subjective so what one would person would like another would disagree with.

So here is my opinion. Definately crop it, I would take away everything to the right of the horse. In general subjects should not be to the centre of a picture, its usually the rule of thirds.
His mane is absoultey amazing in it, Id love his legs to be a fraction higher but im well aware of the difficulty in timing with horses.

I also love making photos of grey horses black and white as it really makes them stand out!

I love it. At first my phone only loaded the left side, cutting off just behind him and that looked good too. Cropped to the right so he's more on a third. So pretty!

Did you get any more shots? Sorry, sorry to be down on this photo as technically it should be a great photo ... but ... I just don't like the pose Armas is in:( He looks like he has a hunched back and his legs are kind of all over the place. The place the photo has been taken in is, using a word another poster mentioned, quite magical and that is the most beautiful spot to get a photo from. But. :(

He is such a stunning horse in many of his poses that I just feel this one does him no justice.

Here you go.

He's beautiful .. cut at least half the photo at the end. I create 3D digital art and if you would allow I would love to create something for you (for free). I'm not on facebook or anything I'm not selling anything, I just love to draw horses.

Would you mind if I had a play around with this image in photoshop? Of course not using the final image, just posting on here.
I like messing around with and editing photos :')

Get rid of the twiggy bits as you have :) You are far too modest and know exactly what you are doing with a camera ;) Still nice to see Armas anytime though :)

I would fiddle about a bit and get rid of that tree in the background too, but then I like dark backgrounds.

Much as I love Armas, I have to say that I have seen far better ones of him, posture wise. His mane looks super and I like that patch of sunlight.

The tree over Armas gives depth to the picture, id only crop a small part of the rt hand side out, but leave the framing the same elsewhere, lovely pic of a gorgeous horse

Ever thought of doing a calendar? he looks a completely different horse to the one in your videos. I don 't know , he may be a very tricky horse to ride with issues under saddle and I also don't know his level of training, sorry i came in quite late to his videos but he looks so tight and tense in the one I viewed, I think I'd question where your trainer is going with him. Sorry if that's not very helpful but will he work in a longer more relaxed frame?
