I love my Spanish horse

Am looking to buy my next pony and have seen this Welsh sec D which ticks all the boxes and we're making a 7 hour round trip to see him on Monday, it's mainly showing and a bit of dressage I'll be doing with him. Anyway last night had a look at his pedigree and this same stallion has appeared on both the sires parents. http://www.sporthorse-data.com/d?i=11046057&z=omM50S
Doing some research the stallion in question Tyhen comet was extremely well thought of and won quite a few championships in his time, so could explain why they used him twice. My question is would this put you off buying him, ive only had one experience with a horse with line breeding before and he was not the best put together let's say! But equally have heard it's very common in welshie breeding and this pony itself has already done fairly well in the show ring at only 4 years old and like I said ticks all the boxes otherwise. Just wary of making another big mistake like the last one! Thanks in advance
