I have always been a good old fashions jodhpur kinda gal but I got given a pair of "riding leggings" (absolutely no different to standard gym leggings as a gift. they are mega comfy and I have worn them for exercise but they seem a bit too "slidy" to ride in! When I go to lessons, CR etc I rock up in the old faithful Dublins and warm fleece and find myself surrounded by girls in matching leggings and baselayers and I think I must look like an old frump :p Does anyone find the leggings good for riding?

I wear jeggings (that look like jeans) from Dorothy Perkins. I'm too big at the minute to fit comfortably in any of my breeches and I find riding tights fit me around the waist and then are baggy around the legs which looks awful.

Leggings or jods for me. I have a gel out seat saver so no slipping here. I think a lot of riding tights do have silicone seats because I had trouble finding some without. I had this vision of sticky bum/sticky pad and not being able to get off ?

There is definitely no silicone on mine - but they are mega comfy! maybe I need to find a silicone pair. To be fair I haven't tried riding in them yet because the slidiness gives me the fear. I have a lesson tonight soI might give them a bash

Breeches or riding tights for me. I've recently become a convert to riding tights and love my Noble Equestrian Balance Riding Tights. They are super comfy. I also have a pair of Dublin cool it tights but I'm not mad about the silicone full seat and they are not as comfy.

I only ever wear riding tights now! Even for competition, I've got two nice beige pairs to show in as well. Part if my issue is I'm only 4'11, so usually find regular jods or breeches far too long. The riding tight/legging revolution has been a lifesaver (I've still got two original pairs of Aztec Diamond leggings from 2016!)

I live in riding tights and base layers for riding and the yard - I'd struggle to ride in breeches these days, as I think I'd find them restrictive!

I love the technical sports material tops for being lightweight, wicking away sweat and more comfortable than traditional tops.

I also like the fact you can be much more incognito if I have to pop anywhere non-horsey before or after the yard :)

Mine are Aztec diamond! One pair already has a hole in :( They are soooo comfy but I just don't look at them as riding wear lol.

This is what I see the young un's wearing - matching leggings and base layer looking very suave and coordinated!

I'm in jeggings or breeches. I'm on the short side and find jod's to long and uncomfortable in my boots. On top I wear a polo shirt or jumper/hoody depending on the weather.

If I wore matchy leggings and base layer tops I'd look like I was impersonating a bag of marbles - far to many lumpy bits and I can't hold them all in!!

Breeches for me or Pikeur tights which have nice grippy-but-not-too-grippy silicone.

I've got some with no grip at all and they are waaaaaay too slippy to be riding the TB in

I wear leggings. Usually the sporty type. I honestly have never found a pair of comfortable every day jodhs without spending a fortune. I hate the sticky bum ones, and it seems everything has them these days! Happy to spend a decent amount on show breeches though.

Doesn't hurt as much either when horse catches your knee on barbed wire and rips a hole in the knee! (money-wise, not pain-wise! o_O)

I’ve converted to the Dublin warm-it Riding tights, warm, comfy and with silicone grip. However I have fat thighs so they tend to wear badly in that area more so than other breeches I’ve had which is a pity. Other than that I wear breeches.

Whatever I've got on. If I'm wearing tights and a skirt, I normally put on over trousers and either roll the skirt up (so stylish), or take it off. If I'm going for a run after, it'll be running tights (including my Tickiboo Cookie Monster design, which gets a few odd looks...). These days I am sensible with footwear - in ye olde days I rode in what was on my feet - I cringe at that, now, though! If I'm not before or after work, it's breeches or jods.

I have a mixture of everything and wear whatever's clean but my favourite are my flexars, they're leggings but aren't that different from most of my jods as I don't like sticky bum or suede knee patches so they're all pretty much lycra / cotton all over. I have one pair of riding leggings with silicon pieces as knee patches and they're ok but they're so warm I've not been able to wear them this winter - it's been too mild!
