OMG
This is my dream job and I got an interview with a company in Devon that organises exclusive riding holidays in exotic locations. Was gutted when I didn't get it as I imagine it's a dead man's boots type of thing getting into a job like that. Nearly died on the spot when they told me at interview that I would be expected to go on these holidays so that I could advise customers about what to expect. Sigh.....
 
Strictly speaking I'm still a Regional Sales Manager for a medical technology company, but I'm on gardening leave and will be a Sales Engineer for a veterinary imaging company at the beginning of October. I think things are going to become a lot more interesting!
 
I am a research assistant at a company with a novel molecular technique which we plan to use to diagnose, in the field, TB, AIDS and lots of other things. I'm trying to help save the world

Before I joined the real world as a scientist I was an exercise rider at a flat yard for 18 months.
 
Another student here - doing a Criminology & Sociology degree, hopefully I'll end up doing something interesting and well paid :D

Currently doing 2 cleaning jobs to pay for the horse.
 
I work for my dad's company 2 days a week, boring old secretary/receptionist/anything else that needs doing. things get added to my job description every day. It helps towards paying the bills but for a job that was supposed to be short-term, 8 years later, i'm still there. would love to do something different, but lord knows what, and it's a cushy number, so very hard to give up!!
 
Oh Keanmu that is what i aspire to be - a kept woman! ha ha ha. In the meantime I wokr i insurance, currently for a large insurer and I insure farms and country estates (it's amazing seeing how the other half live). Before that I insured horses for about 7 years.

Insurance isn't exactly the most rock and roll job but for the moment (until I find my rich man) it'll pay the bills! ha ha

If you're near Bedfordshire then I should point out that we are actually recruiting (and we do have a Horse and Hound advert for it before I get told off. :D )

I'm an HR Generalist. I have to travel to some very undesirable places in the world to dish out discipline, hear grievances and recruit people.

I did equine studies at college though!
 
I handle claims for a reinsurer in the city. More interesting than it sounds, I see the big claims ... the enrons/madoffs/deepwater horizon/world trade centre etc. Also audit clients. It's varied work. Am also about to finish a PG Dip laws which I have studied part time.
 
I work for a company that makes and sales agricultural products all over the world. If you are a livestock farmer you will have heard of us and quite possibly use us, as every animal has to have one ;)

I spend all day talking to farmers all over the country, I love all the accents but its impossible to spell any of the Welsh names!! :o

Its great, I love it (at least now I do!) and today we had such a laugh in the office we were all crying with laughter and couldn't answer the phone! :D

That's great!

What are you doing along the lines of A levels? when you go to a uni for your degree, they will ask you what plays, musicals you did at school....

See as many plays and shows as you can, to get a broad range of ideas, and also read up about various practioners, further than the usual Stanislavsky and Brecht....you will be looked at with respect if you read about what Dorothy Heathcote did.....(pronounced 'Hethcut'...that's important!)

Go fo it! I love my job, there is sooooo much freedom in teaching drama....!

...and don't forget, your degree must be 50% of your PGCE if you are doing secondary..unless that's changed now...!..

My first job was as a hunt groom but got fed up with no money, long (v v long) hours and it was spoiling my love of riding!

Went to agricultural college, but ended up in IT sales (work that one out :confused: )

Subsequently started and now run a company that makes numnahs with a good friend. Could be worse :D but can be stressful! I get to go to big shows with the trade stand, but often don't see a horse (but at least I get to talk to lots of horse owners every day!)
 
Just a boring office manager & accountant dull dull dull.

Ideally I'd like to win the euro millions and buy Medstead Grange yes its for sale again - at a big loss to previous buyer ! I'd start a racehorse rehab and retrain centre as I just love my tb's.
 
I'm a bus driver for Arriva Midlands, I love it. Even with the long or unsociable hours, only 1 full weekend in 5 off, traffic, road works, grumpy passengers etc, I love being out and about and every day is different even on the same route. It has it's negatives as every job but on the plus I've had a newer car out of it, managed to save for Paddy after starting there, met my OH there and it's enabled us to afford to move in together :D

I'd be interested to know if I'm the only bus driver on here, and I bet I am the only female if not the only one!
