What does "fun" mean to you

What fun means to me now is very different to what fun meant to me a few years ago.

I was happiest riding the tinkers and being challenged to the max. I now enjoy riding without trying to guess any which moment I might die for real. I almost forgot it's supposed to be fun and not a constant challenge!

I would have once thrived riding a horse like the below but got off promptly after the clip! (That was one of many explosions and I hope the poor thing has since seen a vet)

I would describe my welsh as fun. He’s a happy chappy, willing to do everything and lovely to ride. He’s mannerly with breaks but will go fast if you want to! Everyone who’s ridden him says the same. Though he is a welsh and a bit of a noob some days - isn’t nasty though. Some days the tractor can drive past without drama, some days it’s a fire breathing dragon 🤷🏻‍♀️

My idea of fun now compared to being younger is very different. Back then fun would be throwing myself over crazy jumps and going fast everywhere, nowadays my idea of fun is being able to enjoy a nice hack/ fun ride and coming home alive 🤣

As per the title, if you read "fun" as part of the description in a horse for sale ad, what does that mean it you?
To me it means not a plod, something with a bit about them but not too spooky/strong/not going to tank off.
Probably not suitable for a novice but good for a reasonably competent rider.

That's my take or am I misinterpreting? Does it mean something different to others?
A brave, willing-to-do-anything sort of pony, suited to a brave, willing-to-do-anything sort of rider.
I knew a pony like that. She lived where my horse lived, in a herd in a very large paddock. She was born there. And she was born brave. It was just in the genes.

A fun pony I consider a forward going ride who enjoys doing the same things his rider does. Nothing better than seeing kids (or adults) come back from a ride (of any description) with big beaming smiles adn the pony looking just as happy as the rider.

I don't think the horse in your clip was having fun, there fore I wouldn't consider it a fun ride or horse.

Fun to me is a game pony/horse that says 'lets go' when asked by it's rider.

I'd consider my cob mare fun - she will jump what you point her at , hack for miles , hunt nicely - not a plod but also no fear of death when on board.

It's all relative though, she's no world beater and to someone who likes more of a white knuckle ride she would be considered boring i imagine !!

Fun to me is all rounder, win a few ribbons, chuck it round XC or hunting, or just hack it but it probably won't win anything big (unless stated in which case it means it's not too tricky or quirky but has something about it).

Especially if the horse is also a pony.
