I have just recently rescued a 7 month old black lab dog, he is booked in to have his bits done next week, as he is so full of it and has started to try and hump everything that moves!!:). He has had the squits for a few days and im just starting to think about his diet. At the mo he is having butchers tripe mix and james wellbeloved junior large kibble twice a day. Is this ok or would something else be more suitable? I have only had him about 4 days.
Also to add he was wormed 2 days ago with drontall.

My lab like pedigree dry food best, but that is just a personal view I am sure more knowledgeable people will be along soon.
P.s. I have found wth Labs dont leave socks any where that can be got at, we have lots of odd sock`s!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Either stick with james well beloved (fish variety) and add tinned sardines (cheaper 36p for supermarket brand ) than bad quality tined meat and better quality human grade food.
OR
Fish4puppys (google) very good quality dog food.

When you have time read up on the post for raw food at top of dog forum page.My 7 month old pup is on raw and I havent looked back since.:)

I wish someone had told me that 2 years ago. I've never had a dog before and we got a chocolate lab who just adores socks. We find them everywhere.
