Although myne is probably going to sound really boring and like I can hardly ride, I jumped my first 'proper jump' at 2ft3, if you can call that a jump?
I then went from a 14.1 cob riding school pony at RS to part loaning a mental 16.2 ID x TB: bit of a jump, had my first show: well in hand and got 2nd! Learnt loads with that horse and never regretted it though had to move on because too much to handle! Had a 15.3 cob x tb on part loan which was fun, and now I am having dressage lessons over the winter!

Managing to get my horse of the yard! Both hacking and to have XC lessons

So pleased we managed both! And also pursuading my parents that it's a good idea for me to move my horse to university

Watching my daughter canter on her own and she managed her first course and won 2 jumping rossettes. (she is 5, jumps were 1ft).
I came second in an open WH. Fab day!
My son getting Misch to walk and trot on his own (he is 3 with speech difficulties).
 
Getting my mare to load nicely!
Getting said mare to hack round fields on her own without having a fit
Getting a better job which I enjoy
Moving into a lovely house with OH

Roll on 2010!
 
joining my local RC and competing for the first time EVER and winning overall 1st senior WH champion and 3rd Senior Equitation champion!!

Never won any trophies or rosettes before this year, so I'm very pleased

Getting my 3yr old backed and ridden. Had a few incidents were he panicked and ran away in the school at full tilt. Hopefully that is a thing of the past now.He is now on his holidays till spring.
 
Fo me it was doing my first ever Hunter Trial, I had always wanted to but never thought I would be brave enough, but we did it which was a big thrill, so imagine my joy when we came 6th!
 
Seeing my mare come back into full work after fracturing her pedal bone.

Starting lessons for the very first time at age 40 and enjoying them.
 
Nothing major really - but moving yards was a real achievement for us. I had stressed about it for months, but in the end it couldn't have gone better. Happy horse and happy me.

My old girl coming sound, thanks to a new farrier and some expensive shoes! I didn't think she'd see this winter, and I definitely didn't think she'd be coming back into work. After plenty of heartache and soul searching, I have my horse back.

Now all I have to do is persuade the old bat that hacking is fun, and she doesn't have to get to a certain point and prance home completely out of control

For me it would be enjoying hacking out again as we can now gallop on hacks without him spooking/racing nutmeg and buggering off! And my proudest moment was winning our first championship

Vardi recovering from his casting scarred but with no other injuries.

Moving him to his new yard which is crazy but great fun.

Riding him outside for the first time for both of us and actually enjoying it.

Actually feeling I can get my shattered confidence back on this horse.

Taking Lessons again at 45, really enjoying them and actually opting to go into the school to work on my walk trot transitions and trot pattens.....never before heard of!

I have spent ages walking her round fields in hand, and riding my other one and leading her at same time.. we are now, after tiring her out in the school, able to go up the fields and trot round with out too many mishaps - we had our first canter there at the weekend (although she did dump me when she shied on the first lap!)

She is very sharp and spooky and it has taken so long to get to this point... I'm still trying to find the 'go' button for gallop without bucking like a loon but we will get there!
 
Taking Dolly on the Frensham sponsored ride. She had most of last year off with a ligament injury, and was just great getting back out on her.

Also, when she was scanned in foal in June. I cried like a baby.
 
2009 has been a really great year full of good memories

Riding on beach and in the sea..
Hunting always wanted to try it finally went this year Love it cant wait to get out again
Doing Dressage and finding it not as bad as I thought and actually enjoyed it..
Show jumping again... after quite a few years break..

So really great year hope 2010 is as good

Backing my very first youngster, and having such a fun time doing it.
Grinning like a mad man when I first trotted her, and grinning even more when we had a few strides of canter and not a single buck or spook.

Maybe the fun time are to come :S

Little Elspeth the mini Shet arrived at the end of March and Ebony was on route for meat in June but ended up with me instead

She is nearly 26 and I can't wait to do veteran showing with her next season
