What have you learnt on this forum?

I have learnt not to be drinking or eating when reading about Hovis!!! My keyboard is constantly sticky and covered in some sort of liquid!!!

To scrutinise, sanitise and mercilessly crop/photo shop any photo you dare to put on unless you want to toss live bait to the LMP's so that someone can say:

'You know that yellow stuff is ragwort don't you?' (well, no, actually it isn't)

'Oh, you shouldn't leave a halter on' (how do you know I do?)

'that fence is dangerous, I wouldn't put mine in that field' (Did I ask you to?)

'he's skinny/fat' (and you know what he looked like 3 weeks ago do you?)

'does he really need that bit' (yes)

Apart from that, the majority of people on here are perfectly normal, OK people, with a common interest that between them know a hell of a lot about horses and everything that goes with them.

...And, that the posts above are quite true :D

Oh yes and the following:

1. Always wear high viz
2. Never admit to feeding anything other than straights
3. Tack, back, teeth is the mantra
4. Never admit to using any tack other than a saddle, cavesson bridle and never go into detail about the bit you use - always photoshop out your bit!!
5. Don't ever mention the 'P' word
6. Sitting on the fence in between fluffy bunnies and horse beaters is quite hard
7. You will become overly paranoid about your weight, height etc
8. Everything you do will annoy someone
9. Be very thick skinned
10. Don't ever call cobs plods
11. If you are pregnant you'll feel a failure if you don't ride until one minute before birth and don't hop back on 30 secs after bubs pops out.
12. Justify everything before anyone has chance to rip you to shreds

And much, much more......... :D

Oh yes, and don't admit to liking a particular breed either

Yep. Especially if its an arab with no shoes on.

Also...never admit to using a haynet.......:o

It's a really useful source of information, I wear my hi viz all the time and found out about loads of really useful websites. I'd never heard of preloved til someone mentioned it on here, so would never have found my new horse, whether or not that's a good thing remains to be seen!
