I own a couple of cob types, light weight coloureds. I adore them and they suit me well. I love the look of Arabs, like a good TB, not keen on Welsh or QH and love love love a good show cob but will stick with my boys!
The Arabian and the PF are high maintenance, but I prefer riding them.
The others are just nice people, one is useless to me currently and should be sold but he is so damn pretty I just don't want anyone else to have him, the other two are pretty too but will go in Spring - definitely the colt he was bred to be sold, but the mare will make a good 'husband horse' so I may be able to swing it that I keep her too
Downsizing drastically in property size, I don't need 5 horses.
I have a trotter x cob and she's a rescue and more TB than cob and is a bit of a diva( hence my username!), I also have a miniature horse x who is the horse equivalent of the love of my life and a miniature shetland who is turning out to be a little super star.
I love the heavies (despite my current mare being quite fine), I've had a shire x in the past and would love a clydesdale. For me they got to be hairy!
I really love the native ponies, though less keen on Welshies. Have an Eriskay, a Connie, a Shetland and a Shettie X. If I have more time and money I'd really like a Fjord too.
One Arab gelding and an oldenburg mare, I also have another Arab on trial at the moment so hoping that goes well and I will then have a matching pair of bay geldings
We have a ISH (she's about 3/4 TB)+our other mare, know nothing of her breeding, she's possibly Anglo Arab X maybe a Fell or Dales, don't care as love her loads!! All my OH'S other horses have been Dutch WB. If I had to say a favourite breed, it'd be a TB ☺
I have an IDxtb love, love, love her. I have previously had a connie x tb & would have another in a heartbeat. I also have 4 mini Shetlands. Fantastic wee fellas. One of them in particular if I could stretch him even to 13.2 he would be - to me - the perfect pony.
Well there is loopy lu...shes NF x TB pony
then her daughter Kit....which we added german sports pony
theres Fox my sisters. proper coloured cobbie jobbie of indeterminable breeding who was bred by gypsies
and finally Roo...my new girl belgium warmblood....I don't usually like WB and was looking for a TB (my absolute favourites) but fell for her
Ive currently got an anglo arab, a sec A, sec B, 2 coloured cobs and shire x. Ive had shetlands, sec Cs, arab x connie, WKPN, lusitano, dales x trotter.
Arabs will ALWAYS be my favourite breed, I love their sensitivity and intelligence. I also adored the same traits in my luso along with her extreme complexities, they are a very interesting breed. So basically I prefer hot blooded types!
I own an amazing and beautiful New Forest - amazing ponies, just LOVE them! :'D My Mother & Father own two very pretty Andalusians,
and then my little sister has a Welsh Mountain pony, and we have a 36 year old Welsh Sec. B pony as well
Photos of each one:
My stunning New Forest.
My Father's Andalusian.
My Mother's Andalusian.
My little sister's Welsh Mountain pony.
Our companion Welsh Sec. B pony, modeling 'Just Chop', for Justfeeds.
My favourite breeds are Welsh D's and Akhal Tekes, but I also love almost anything spotty! I have a deposit down on a spotty colt, dam is welsh D x cob, sire is a l/w spotty cob
I have a Hanoverian x TB, a British warmblood x TB x shire and a Connie companion. I'm a big warmblood fan, my ideal horse is a full Hanoverian but a quality one is too much money. However they do x so well with TB's too, you get athleticism with substance yum!! Love mine, they are super intelligent and I just can't resist the floating! My Connie is sweet but very nervy and highly strung, I imagine she'd be a right spooky bum if she was ridden! In the past I had a Welsh x Arab, who was pretty highly strung but fun. My worst nightmare would be a cob, sorry cob lovers but just not my cup of tea. I'm probably swayed by the cobs I've met though who although nice enough personalities have generally been a bit bulldozers thickish types - I'm sure there's plenty of clever ones out there though!
I own a highland but love anything with a bit of decent bone like Cobs, IDs etc. Not fond of TBs, Arabs or anything too lightweight. Give me a chunky type any time.
An old fashioned-type Belgian WB. Excels at everything, temperament & paces to die for. Can't see me ever going for any other type of horse now. Not a fan of anything cobby or coloured but there are always exceptions to the rule
I own a Friesian x tb as was his sharer and was already in love but as to what my favourite is I don't really know! I like conni's, warmbloods, lightweight cob x, irish sports so think I would only know when I saw it.
