A curious thread from someone contemplating seeing if Cornucrescine will make my hair grow quicker ?

What horsey products have you tried...did they work!?

I used Mane & Tail spray on a tangle haired doll once. Worked a treat.

I've taken off a skin blemish with Newmarket Cream. No scar.

Used horse exercise bandages on sprained ankles more than once.
.

I’ve heard about cornucrescine but surely it makes your nails look awful? I’d imagine the black settling in round the edges and just being hideous?
I have used mane and tail on my hair and been very tempted by Naf Pimp my pony shampoo (smells amazing!)

When I worked in racing there was an old Irish guy, worked with horses all his life came out one day and asked for a sachet of bute, when queried by my boss he said he had a head ache and always took bute ?
Boss told him absolutely not but he had some paracetamol he could have, the old guy replied “no thanks, he didn’t like weird drugs in his body and never took pills” ??

Ok big fess here. The clippers at the beginning of lockdown. I knew I was due to go in to hospital at short notice. My hair was usually a sort of short and spikey style, but it had grown to that sort of not one thing or the other length and I was feeling really fed up.

So I started to shear it all off myself with the menfolk's clippers, the clippers died half way through so I used the horse ones to do the job! Looked pretty good although I say it myself! ?

I haven't been to the hairdressers since, always clip it short myself these days, saves a fortune ?

Vetwrap, horse shampoo, arnica gel.
Occasionally wound cream
Indoor rugs (washed) on the sofa, old outdoor rugs as picnic rugs. Did have a washing-line made of bailer twine at one point too.
Horse trimmers have been appropriated by husband for hair cutting

The horses use human stuff too though - tis all share and share alike here ?

Various mane and tail sprays on both daughters long knotty hair, shared a lavender wash sponge down with my horse after a hard hot lesson, fly spray on clothes, put purple spray on an infected cut (salt water soaking worked better!)
Also tried sleeping in magnetic fetlock bands- woke up with a pounding heart-not good

Vet wrap.

I use those magic Lemieux type brushes on my cat. It’s the only brush he likes (in fact, loves). Dog also likes them for scratching her face on if I hold one on the floor.

Vet wrap here too ??

my ankle was actually broken. Again.
I just vet wrapped over my boot and managed a competition - I can thank @Michen for that sage advice.
think I used a full roll but it was stiff enough!!

been partial to a manky netted pony carrot when I’ve been feeling snackish

bit butter is an absolute godsend when you are frozen and chapped, i just slather it all over my face.

Hehe. Hunting five weeks no issue with vet wrap. Couldn’t walk but sure could ride ?
