its really stupid...little people wearing long boots and stocks. I'm an old fashioned soul who likes joddy boots and pc ties.
I don't like little people on ponies that look like a branch of the gadget shop either!!
My gosh I sound like Christine PT!! Go Jill Go Jill..
i plait on whatever side the mane lies naturally. oops. and i wear long boots and a stock...
people who put a saddle on a short saddlecloth/numnah so the panels of the saddle sit on the edge of the numnah really annoy me - can't they see that this is far worse than no numnah. that's a real pet hate. people with no seat and horrific hands yanking the poor thing around and then blaming it when they don't win, that kind of stuff.
things that are detrimental to the horse's welfare, really. i don't mind if it's tricked out in dayglo pink and sparkles, as well as its welfare is paramount.
Ok, I know you're all taught when you're young there is a 'right' side for the mane to be on - does anyone know why this is? Did anyone tell my horse cos his mane likes to grow the other way! I still plait on the 'right' side though (it's been drummed into me) but I actually do not know why?? I think that's what peeves me actually, why there's a 'right side' and a 'wrong side' to a horse!
I don't like it when people asume my horse can't move, just because he's a cob. I don't like it when people asume they will beat my just because my horse is a cob, and then pretend they weren't trying when we do beat them. But I do like beating warmbloods and good riders
People who beat my horse (he's a warmblood)! Only joking mmm. Bad mannered horses...ie won't move over when asked, refuse to pick up feet and stick shoulders into you when being led etc.
what is the 'right' side, so i know for sure if im doing it right or not!
i hate it when people assume an older pony cant do anything
and parents shouting at their kids at shows 'dont tap it, WHACK IT'
or when people talk about how much their ponies throw big bucks and try to get them off like its a good thing...and they are good rides because they stay on...somethng bads gotta be making the horse do it!
Disrespect - Not picking droppings up in the school or yard, making a mess
Lack of consideration for others with regard to school/shared facilities
People that can't share a warm-up without crashing into you, and then look at you as if it's YOUR fault!
People that scream at/thrash their horses
People that ask for advice then don't listen

people who look down on my horse because of her type

A little off the subject but in regards to what is said above i couldnt agree more, the horse i share is a cob and we went to a show the other day where the owner rode dressage, when she was warmig him us she heard someone say "Would hate to be the judge that has to judge THAT"... im surprised she didnt get off him and punch her one... i would have wanted to!
What irritates me most is people who worry about inconsequential horsey things! Yes, when competing, it is nice if the horse is clean and mane is plaited the correct side. But, if you are hacking out and schooling then what does it matter?! Does the horse give a sh*t whether it has shavings in its tail or its mane hangs the wrong side. A horse wants to feel safe and secure, have access to adequate food, water and shelter and the opportunity to have unconstrained exercise and a chance to socialise with it's mates. Also to feel happy, relaxed and comfortable when ridden. It doesn't give a stuff whether there is a shaving in it's tail or a bit of mud in it's mane, or whether it's bed is spirit-levelled, or the headcollar matches the bandages which matches the rugs!
My pet hate is people tying haynets to the back ramp of their lorry or trailer.
My rear window is forever getting covered in filth, especially at this time of year, so just imagine what is getting into the hay. Exhaust fumes are probably in there too somewhere. Makes me mad!
Door kickers
Leg straps not being clipped back when rug removed
Water buckets left filthy
Screaming kids
Over tacked and over bitted horses
People who bullsh*t their way through life
