What is everyone doing this long weekend? :)

We will be spending most of Monday giving pony rides at the local May Fair. 5 ponies, 10 volunteers, 20 hats and usually over 300 rides.

Moving electric fencing, looking at my horse in the field , only one week on field rest left. Riding my old boy a couple of times , cleaning yard, cleaning tack, vet Monday , sleeping lots. Washing feathers, washing car, normal things really.

I'm working as per usual. It feels like I'm the only one who ever works ... Oh wait! That's because I am! #notamusedwithworkrightnow!

Then Monday I am stewarding at a show. It's always good to put the time back into the sports you love. If everyone volunteered at one event a year of their chosen discipline then no one would ever go short of helpers

Been to a showjumping clinic today. So happy with the pony, no spooking at any jumps which is progress. Working rest of the bank holiday 😢

Did a little bit of work today (admin and washing) - I'm self-employed. Potted on some more little veg plants in the greenhouse. Tomorrow it's a fundraising concert I've been helping to organise in aid of the local Red Cross's work with the Syrian refugees who've been resettled here.

zonked on the sofa at the moment, summoning the energy to go and ride next horse. Did 2 this morning and then braved the supermarket. Did 3 hours in the saddle yesterday plus day at work and a late night, I'm pooped!!

Right, quick cuppa and then back to it ;) dressage tomorrow and showing on Monday, no rest for the wicked :p should probably do some housework at some point :(

Well. OH is working Saturday, Sunday and Monday. I have just come out of Hospital after two urgent admissions with just three days at home in between. After urgent surgery and five weeks in and three hospitals, I am now slowly getting back on my feet (leg injury, serious pain, unable to walk for a while) so the only thing I can do is what I have done for the last ten days = very little except watch TV, Read, do crosswords, use laptop:(

Hope you all have a good weekend:)

Oh no, I hope the next week goes quickly for you! I hope your horse is okay. :)

Ergh! Not fun. For once, I am off this bank holiday. The worst bit is that I swear everyone in every department in the company are closed apart from us, it's always the way! Monday sounds fun though, that's a good idea actually, hope you have a good time!

Blimey!! There's me umming and arring about whether I can be bothered to clean the car after one ride! How do you manage it?! Are they all yours or do you exercise them for others? Housework can wait

Just don't think about it and keep pressing on! I find the best therapy for tired muscles is more riding ;)

I've got 2, but this morning I rode 2 for other people and then one of mine this afternoon ... my other is on a day off as she went on the lorry for a lesson yesterday so earnt a day in the field :D

Sorry to hear you're laid up... get well soon happyclappy :)

Not much tomorrow, will be busy packing for Monday, as I'm grooming for an eventer at Badminton all week. So I have lots to look forward to :) May see if I can find the time to sneak one or two horses in for a hack in the afternoon.

Today took nervous friend to the nervous and novice showjumping she did very well second and fifth, Tomorrow my pony is doing a 80cm hunter trial, Monday taking two to do a pleasure ride, Tuesday visiting grandkids wednesday a x country clinic who said retirement gives you a rest I have never been so busy dont know how I found time to go to work

Trying to turn this into a presentable and usable exercise vehicle. I've been chipping away at it for a couple of weeks now but I really am going to get my finger out and get it done this weekend!

My sentiment entirely, I've been rushed off my feet the last few weeks! However, had a lesson on Friday and horse was very fresh and a bit cheeky. He's off to a dressage comp tomorrow with another H&Her riding him in the hope he will become a bit easier in the warm up for me and then, lucky old me, we are straight down to AM dressage for a five day intensive course. My plan for the week is getting canter a bit more manageable and on my terms rather than his! I have had to do a lot of organising to get away though and I'm a bit shattered! I think I'm beginning to feel my age a bit!

Still poulticing a very large stubborn abcess.

Oh and running a marathon on monday :p

But doing the relay team, I'm running the 5 mile section :D

Which marathon is that? Asking because it's our local marathon on Monday, wondering if we live near each other!
