Last year the rain started in November and pretty much didn't stop until April. Here at least we didn't get any snow either and only a handful of hard frosts.
This year the rain started in October, and so far shows no signs of letting up.
My field is already under water so I have opened up the middle of my track earlier than I wanted, as at least the grass covering means it's not mud soup and there's somewhere for them to get out of the worst of it.
Annoyingly my gateway is my lowest point of my field, I haven't seen the ground there in a week or so.
Was wet from the start of September in Gloucestershire last year, we had about 8 months of rain. It was hell.

Worcestershire was the same, my lot came in last week of September. This year 1st November which definitely shortens the winter. This time last year we could not walk across the land it was a total swamp.

I love our current weather warmish, dryish and beautiful sunsets and sunrises. Been a little blowy so wind chill factor but basically been just about perfect for the time of year

Was the same here in Devon. Had them on the winter grazing end of September, ground was mullered by December. Then droughts in April/May meant the grass took forever to get growing. The year before that, they were on the Summer grazing till mid November, that was an idyllic winter, and we had a bumper hay crop that year. Wasn't any point of even trying this year!

It’s warm here but it’s certainly nowhere near as wet as last year. Much drier.

I remember about 4 years ago it was 18 degrees in November. Much cooler than that now

But yes, climate change is having an effect long term

I was just chatting with a farrier today and we were laughing that it’s the same temperature now as it was in August! I’ve still got my 4.5 tog duvet on, and our house is cold, with the windows wide open!

13 degrees here in west ireland...really mild - loving it! But loads of rain...however, that’s normal!
polytunnel lettuce, parsley, fennel, turnips are growing well. Courgettes just finished and died off before this weeks mild spell. Its been a very mild november mostly!

I’m ok with the weather changes I just alternate rugs as necessary, it’s the wind that I can’t cope with. I hate riding in the wind as my horse can be very unsettled it’s been windy here for last few days so I haven’t been out, but really could do with getting him out today will just have to put my brave pants on and do a short hack, tomorrow we have gale force winds but Friday looks okay fingers crossed

I hate the wind too; it hasn't been Can't-open-doors-or-put-buckets-down windy here but windy enough to make hacking a pain as it's so difficult to hear cars coming
