Year old pup has just dug two massive holes in the hallway wall (plasterboard), we were in at the time so not seperation anxiety or boredom - just fun?!?!? She's pretty chilled out but ocassionaly goes mad and rips something to shreds.

I've had a dog that ate two arms off the sofa, and another who removed a whole staircase carpet while I was sitting in the dining room. Both are long gone now but turned into perfect dog citizens at about two years old. Hopefully the current pup will grow up soon.

I'm not a bad dog owner lol, they get exercised regularly and disciplined if they step out of line. With pups these things just seem to happen once in a while...

So I've got the sander and polyfilla out...

What is the worst thing your dog had destroyed? I need to feel better as I patch the wall

Barney chewed his way through an exterior door panel in one night when he was a pup, he was nearly out in the wide world when we found him in the morning! You could see daylight

So far, Henry has tended to damage himself rather than stuff

My lurcher puppy used to regularly eat holes in the plasterboard kitchen wall, my ex-OH got to be expert at patching it and they never noticed when we sold the house

My whippet pup chewed her way out through the back door years ago (there was a cat flap, she just increased it in size rather

) - well, we knew when we moved in that the door was rotten

Other than that it has been the standard stuff really - other than pigeons and chickens, but we wont go there

When our 2 were pups they used the wicker conservatory suite for teething chews, then proceeded to rip apart the foam cushions and covers. Needless to say we had to get a skip in and I now owe my parents 1 wicker suite!

They have also eaten a pair of my boots which my lovely OH replace and then then ate those too! Oh also last month ate my favourite heels
frown.gif
purple satin peep toes that were sky high. Only ate the one so put them behind the doggie gate to show OH when he came in. They jumped the doggie gate and retrieved the other shoe they hadn't eaten and then ate that one too :'(

Also taken the stuffing out of several of their dog beds so now are only allowed plastic bed with blankets and towels when unsupervised.

Ha nearly forgot Charlie was found in his cage with the OH's digital camera, he wasn't best please but the dents are quite spectacular AND the screen didnt crack just has 1 hole in it!

There are probably more but I try my hardest not to remember all the money they have eaten! lol Both impressive and expensive!

Oh forgot the mobile phone!!! haha they only chewed that though because it was in a sock so it didn't look like a phone but a very tasty sock, see its an easy mistake to make! I did get a new phone out of it though

. they're not that bad really . . just as long as their mouths are duck taped shut! lol. Im sure they'll grow out of it (famous last words!)

The Midget lab ate most of the outside table/seating set. It was one of those old fashioned wooden picnic types. Luckily M was able to source wood and repair it.

Beastie and Tina have never been destructive dogs

Windsor once retrieved our stuffed pheasant (we sent him to it as a joke, not thinking he'd lift it) and pulled the tail out

I'm not sure how much M had spent to get the thing stuffed in the first place though.

My Patterdale used to be an absolute nightmare at chewing things.

Of the top of my head I can remember him chewing/eating

Sofa (twice)
The washing machine door (at least twice)
The Tumble dryer door
Countless Coats (He would jump up and pull them of the hooks) Countless wellies/Riding boots/trainers/sandles
Tubes of paint (his poo was blue for a few days
blush.gif
)
Tools - Screwdrivers/hammers etc
Dog beds
Car interiors - seat belts/seats/dash bored etc
Kitchen shelves
countless Cooking Books
Wicker Baskets
Wooden chair legs

ETA - He has also chewed through quite a few Main electricity wires, how he was never frazzled I do not know

And probably loads more. Mum thinks he has cost us at least £3000 in damage.

As he has got older he has stopped chewing as much but does sometimes have a setback if the weather is particularly stormy or something upsets him.

Quite often I have come back from holiday to find that he has destroyed the bedding on my bed (not meant to be upstairs but he sneaks up at times) I think it's his way of telling me he doesn't like me going of and having a good time
tongue.gif

The most recent thing he has done is ripped the stuffing out of his bed which was on a stormy night.

Bless him, he's 12 now so he isn't ever going to grow out of it completely.

Lol, I keep thinking of more things he has chewed!

He once ate his way through a wooden door and has also managed to kill quite a few hedgehogs (think he must have an iron mouth)

Do you think my dog has issues

Still weeping at it now, I have just been paid for a foal, cash in an envelope, I dropped it, dog pounced and ripped it to shreds. $900 worth of jigsaw anyone? Well $850, I retrieved a $50 bill, that is NO consolation whatsoever.
I have NOT told OH, no intention of doing so either, so hush please people.

A lab puppy of mine chewed a wire that was under the front passenger seat of my brand new Freelander. It was part of the immobiliser and alarm system.

The whole car had to be rewired by Landrover mechanics sent up from the main factory. Luckily Landrover payed for half of it and I had to pay the other half, I think they made sure that the wire didn't dangle down after that. And I never ever let a dog sit in the passenger footwell again.

This was all about 9 or 10 years ago and I think it cost me about £1500. But would have been £3000 if they hadn't agreed to pay for half of the work.

Damnation and Remy manged to rewire my mum's OH very expensive computer. The mouse, keyboard, headfones, special mousemat which prevents you getting RSI, the monitor, the printer.....list goes on. Had a little munch on the main tower thing which is worth £3000 alone. Probably did £3700 worth of damage but he managed to fix the majority of the things himself so was more like £700, just every thing now has bite marks in it....I dont like him anyway so doggies got a secret big pat and a nice long walk
laugh.gif

My previous 2 dogs ate my teddy bear which had been passed to the eldest daughter for 4 generations and ended up in bits on my bedroom floor....that's why they're 'previous'
mad.gif
(only kidding bout that bit!)
