It just occurred to me that I have achieved many of my dreams and goals! I wanted a horse, I got one. He was a nightmare and my goal became for us both to be confident! 3 years on and he is now fabulous, I ride him on the beach, the moors, stubble fields... we jump, hunt, go to RC, did xc and do dressage... we never win but we have fun trying! He has become the horse I have always dreamed of having.
As I am pregnant my dream is to still be riding him in 10 years time, accompanying my son/daughter on their pony!!! And for him to live to a ripe old age, healthy and happy.
I would like more rosettes though, I only have 6 in 3 years of trying!!!!
For me it would be to own my own horse, a dream that hasn't changed ever since I was about 4. For some reason Santa never did get me the much desired four legged friend. Did get hopeful the year I unwrapped my first riding hat though...
I'm actually on the way to fulfilling this dream, started saving up my pocket money when I was 10 in the "Horse Fund". I'm 20 now, and have enough to be able to buy (and care for!) my own animal as soon as I graduate and have work. (Only 2 years to go - eek!!)
Doesn't stop me trawling the ads in every spare minute though...but hey, window shopping doesn't hurt anybody!
At the start of the year I gave myself the goal of getting around a Jump X course or I would be selling my boy - I have confidence issues. I didnt do it but I did do some jumping - did a wee compition, dressage and had loads of lessons with a cracking instructor So next year I will do the Jump X and Im not selling my boy
My dream was that after I lost my leg I could get back on my girl and ride again, as I had to take 3 years off while they tried to save leg. Got back in saddle six weeks after they took my leg off. My dream now is to learn how to do all the things that I could before this happened.Slowly we are starting to get there.
I do so hope that you dream comes true and you get to go to your show and have a great time, trust me if you want it bad enouth it will happen, never give up Hopes and dreams keep us all going
To get either my spotty ponycob or more likely my coloured to medium. They dont have to be competitive, just be working at that level.
Other than that big aim, I want all 3 baby ponies to become sensible and well adjusted members of society. The already are, but I would like that to continue when they are under saddle.
My goal at the moment is to get back on my younger horse. My back is Knackered and I just can't do it. At the mo, I'm not sure i'll manage again without surgery and even then its no certainty.
My dream is that my old girl's heart has returned to normal or at least near normal when she is checked at the end of September. I don't think it will happen, but I can dream. If she's ok, I don't care how much it hurts, we will be going for a wee ride round the woods.
Like many who've replied,I have achieved many of my dreams from childhood- to own a horse and compete- through to others as life progresses such as breeding my own horse, owning my own stables, a horsebox, having my daughter love riding as much as myself, and riding out together. I try not to take things for granted,as much hard work has been put into achieving them. What I would love now is that our horses remain fit and healthy for years to come,I regain some of my nerve as I get more worried about things like jumping than when I was younger, and my daughter manages to get placed in a jumping class with my horse and her pony as so far, that has defeated her.
Don't give up on your dreams, with hard work and effort, they can be achieved.
Mine has always been to do the passage on a horse, to feel that power and cadence. A few years back, I had the pleasure to do that on my very OWN horse (kindly trained by my husband). And guess what, I am now teaching it to my new horse and enjoying every minute of it!
My dream was to buy something unusual I could break and bring on myself, to replace Murphy in four years time when I finish uni. So I was walking through a field and bought a foal and his mum that I knew (foal was 3 days old). Blue is only 14hh but looks like Aiiro will make at least 15.2 O_O. He is certainly unusual, but exactly like Murphy in the way he moves and his demeanour. My next goal is to take him to uni with me.... need to work on that one
To get my own horse, been riding since I was 6 but never been in the position or had the money to do more than my once weekly lesson and beg/borrow friends ponies whenever I can!
To live somewhere where I can take a potter round the woods rather than use a East London City Farm, (although it's ace for bombproofing horses - everything from llamas to Asda lorries unloading!)
To learn to jump properly and do a cross country course, I don't care about placing, I'd just be thrilled to give it a go...
Same - our girl has been off work for a long time due to Cushings/laminitis however things are looking up and she is improving incredibly fast, so fingers crossed!!

My dream was first to have a horse. Achieved that at 21. Then to get a box. Got that at 23. Then to go to Stoneleigh doing Trailblazers SJ, did that aged 24. Now it would be to get back to level I was competing at! If I achieved that I'd love to do BSJA on a ticket and go to Trailblazers finals again.
Goals: Get my huge extra wide cob jumping next year and go round a cross country course - nothing big just enough for her to pick her feet off the ground. Perhaps try out cubbing/hunting on her if I feel brave enough - never done it. Pass my trailer test next year. Break in Harry next year. ultimate goal would be to compete them both in ODE just for fun, I'm not ambitious.
Super fantasy dream - move to New Zealand, taking all my horses with me if possible, and have a farm/rescue/stud breeding coloured things
I'm in my 50's & have a 5yo. My dream is to ride him for another 20 years - lots of hacking, a bit of TREC, the odd (small) hunter trial or SJ & then retire together.
Samba: to be able to just go on sponsered ride, do a bit of low level ODEs and go hunting when I want and afford it. I would love to have her as one of those horses that I can just go "oh not sure what to do this weekend why dont I just ........" instead of thinking if I try that I might die this weekend lol. To be fair shes still a project in progress and will get there not bad for a £600 market pony.
And over all have her as a pony that I can 100% trust (aka not throwing me in a gate ripping my knee open because there was a puddle in her way!!)
my previous dream was to either get my own horse or one on loan, check after 14 years of dreaming
another dream is for me and my great friend at the yard (who also wants this) is to have a great day of riding where we do things for the fun of it like have a chase me charlie, gallop round the field and ride bareback
a long term dream is to finish my gcse's, go to horseyy college and have a great career with horses
to marry a eventer/NH jockey (they arn't as short as the flat ones!!) preferably a certian 16 yr old national hunt jockey who iv had a crush on for rather a long time
yes, i should definatly keep dreaming when it comes to the latter!!
