What is your favourite horsey chore?

The first spruce up after winter. A lovely warm day, a bath, tail trim, mane sorted out, feathers neatened up. I hate scruffy ponies! All mine are native and resemble teddy bears.

Closely followed by making up the feeds. We have coloured buckets for each pony so there's at least 18 buckets (some share) to make up. I particularly like the hot chocolate I have after mixing them all up!!! LOL Kettle goes on before we start so we sit down then after all the chores and have a chat. ;)
 
Grooming especially brushing out manes/tails/ feathers!! I love it!

I don't mind mucking out but cannot abide mucking out straw beds - it drives me nuts! I would also like a wheelbarrow fairy as pushing a full barrow thru the mud and up the slippery slope to the muck heap is deffo my worst job ever!

I'm on full livery for various reasons, and it's not often I get to muck out - but when I do I love to take my time, and get a perfectly clean, deep, fluffy bed with lovely equal banks (for decorative puropses only!)

It don't find that weird at all! I'd say my favourite horsey chore is probably organising my horsey 'stuff'! By the time I've finished I feel as though I have a load of new things that I never knew I had!
 
This is a lovely thread - really interesting reading what people enjoy. I think I must be a bit weird but I love building and tidying my muck heap in the winter. It's great for warming up in cold weather. Muck heap is much commented on but I think I may have a bit of OCD!
 
I absolutely love grooming and neatening him up with the clippers!
I also enjoy tack cleaning and making up the feed.

Absolutely loathe filling up haynets, really gonna have to buy myself one of those contraptions that hold the nets open for you!

I'm funny with mucking out, cause I only stable during the coldest months of winter and to start with I love making his nice cosy bed up.... by the end of winter I'm just praying for him to be able to have 24/7 turnout again!
 
I love turning out into a new field, watching them kick their heels up and play is the best. I also really enjoy tack cleaning, mucking out and doing feeds and haynets!

Creosoting the yard every 2 years - love looking at the pristine finish :)

TFF, underimpressed with cutting back weeds on the fence line and filling haynets in summer (winter is fine tho, oddly enough)
