What is your perfect dog breed?

that was pretty accurate for me too...gave pointer as number 2 (thats close), vizsla as number 7 on the list. The top ten were all dogs I would own and all gundogs/hprs. Not bad!

Plummer terriers my no 1 !, agile, intelligent, adaptable, short coated, stunningly beautiful , a good one is as rare as hens teeth even a reasonable example takes some finding , hence are few and far between( I wouldnt want something everyone else has), they are going for kc recognition and are the future jrt's .

I can't choose between a lab and a goldie - I grew up with a lab and he was amazing, I learned to stand and walk by hanging off him (poor dog lol), my first dog of my own was Bear (goldie) and she was the best dog in the world :) Yellow Dog (lab) is such a dude and apart from recall issues  he's near perfect, and Sandy (goldie) is also totally fab :D

well i have an old lab/collie x who is brill! a jrt who is lovely! and a newish rescue labx??????????????.(they all make the right noise whebn req but..) i would never choose a breed per say! they tend to find me... i could do with a couple of big black and tan ones for secuirity...... well ones that look the part ? (but they would need to be dog and CAT friendly!)if anyone has one.....

hungarian vizslas ~~~have 2 and would always have them top of list~~would love a little springer though although 2 dogs enough for now.

i had jrts as first dogs. no actually that is a lie i walked away from my job in a wimpy bar with a 6 month gsd! sadly my mum wouldnt let me keep her! but found her a lovely home for life! i was a child that collected animals... the 2 gerbils from a jumble sale, the kitten from 3 roads away (in hindsight i probably stole him we had him for 18 years) the guinea pig the school didnt want, the dog from the wimpy, and a couple of scraty horses from the sales .....

our lab is perfectly behaved..... never puts a foot wrong... loyal... quiet... undemanding...

so i should say lab....

but i love the naughtiness of the spangles who drive me up the wall and have me pulling my hair out - but then again so does my horse - i think i prefer something that challanges me more - so its gotta be a spangle - and out of the two - a cocker as they fit on your knee better :D

why not, they are a huge improvement on whats left of breed which is so inconsistant .

`Spect she means because they are a Hell of a lot more quick and intelligent than most of the :eek:owners! same with my working Lakies..the best little dog the right owner could ever have..but for the usual muppet a disaster waiting to happen:D

1 Mixed breed
2 Labrador
3 Weimeraner
4 Field Spaniel - funny I said short hair was a big must!
5 Schipperke - never heard of these... just looked it up.... err no! I said medium/large with short hair! not tiny with long!
6 German Shorthaired Pointer :) :) :) :) :)
7 Pointer
8 Vizla

When I was choosing a dog I serisouly considered nos 2, 3, 6, 7, 8 so not bad :)
