I called my horse today, and he galloped across the field to me, bucking and leaping :D
made me smile :D

Also made me smile when the 2 donkeys in the field followed him (albeit a lot slower!) and they escaped out of the field...! Was v funny!

So what made you smile today?

I got to take the horse I've been asking to ride for a while out on a hack, and he behaved perfectly, despite people warning me he was a right swine, and the horse infront of us was being a right nappy little beggar!

Made my life complete! And I don't normally go for cobs!

aside from the fact that it's tuesday and not monday?!

the fact that things seem to be progresing with the hunt, and although not everyone is happy with it, I'm convinced its a step in the right direction.

Also, Ron was awesome when I schooled him yesterday.

When I walked into the field this afternoon I whistled and my 2 looked up and left the herd to wander over, it made me smile that its only my 2 that ever respond to the whistle then they amble over like they have all the time in the world!!

Once introducing my horse to a sharks tooth plank (at the smallest height ever) in walk, coming around in trot and him being so scared of it he turned around and ran the other way.
You have got to love a TB.

Same as every morning - my horse being as pleased to see me as I am to see him!

Doesn't matter what sort of crappy day I'm having, or about to have, he's my little shot of happiness. (Sounding like a soppy old moo here, but don't really care...:p)

Watching my foal. She's ten months old now,but never fails to make me smile, she is so funny and so much fun:D

I went up to yard this morning to find message board squint & all brushed forks etc off hooks and on the floor ... all this stuff is exactly outside Emma my new foals stable so must of been a wild night for her! Lol.
Also yard owner told me she now shouts when she hears my car :)

Mines a really daft one, but watching _Gina_ (on here, my sister) practicing her dressage test for her championship show on Saturday, and seeing how well and how much her and Prince have come on. :D

Taking my horse out for a ride and him walking past a lorry full of hot tarmac with a digger contraption lifting bucket loads out of the back of it and onto a drive way the men were working on. It was swinging in the air above us and he never batted an eye. Then a lovely canter and gallop up some fields in the sun. Hes so good and was a pleasure!!

Cantering my horse down the track and him giving little happy bucks coz he's just so full of energy :)
And my mum telling me I'm allowed to go SJing next Tues night :D

Thinking I might finally have found the saddle I'm after :) and my horse doing some nice, if rather over-exuberant changes, without being late behind going left to right! Hoorah! Progress at last :D Been a bit 'head - meet wall' lately ;)

my little mare, who I was having trouble bonding with, whickering and coming over the minute she sees me step outside the kitchen. Ok, she is on restricted grazing - although lots of hay! - and she knows that I always have a scratch and a treat for her but its such a long way from the very aloof mare who would walk away from me 4 months ago. I posted on it a while ago saying that if I had to option to buy her I wouldnt be sure I would (she is on loan) and so many people said it takes time to bond with a mare but once there it is stronger than anything, how right they were! Her owner does want to sell her and yes I will most definitely will be buying her!

I didn't smile at the time, but it was very funny when Dylan made me hike all the way up the (very steep) field ... then galloped down to the gate when I was 20 yards away from him.

Grrr *pant pant pant*

GreyBay, your right about the mare bond, mine only has to hear my voice and she shrieks down the yard. Definitely knows me and its a lovely feeling. Love her!!

Not horsey but it made me smile, i was driving past the Sammyling monestry (sp) and saw a tibetan monk in his red robes with a red nike top on , ok maybe you had to be there !

Jasper working really nicely in my lesson today. He's not done much schooling (just done hacking mainly) and he can get quite stroppy, but he really tried hard today. Bless him.

Going for a quiet hack after a stressful day and watching the lambs playing in the field. Giving my old git of a cob a cuddle and getting one back from him, and getting a whinny cos he realised he's going back out in the field to play with his mates and munch his face off.

The fact that when i was leaving the house this morning, late as usuall, all the horses were sitting down, relaxing, bar one of my yearlings, who, despite looking over at me, so he knew i was watching him, walked to the fence that is dividing the field, kicked the curly tail stick hingy that holds up the fence, it fell, so the tape was on the ground, and he proceeded to step out over it to "good grass" that i was saving til at least next week, and there was nothing i could do about it, because the kiddies would have missed the school bus. I could swear he laughed at me!!

Getting stuck in the barbed wire while being lazy and ducking out of the bottom of the field, instead of walking over to the gate. Dizzy youngster freaked out at the scary hedge monster, despite watching me going in, then promptly recovered herself and frisked me for carrots as soon as I got free!

Mine was my pony's usual rigid suspicious pose he adopts when he realised he had a vet in his stable with him this morning...he was having his annual jabs, makes me hoot the expression on his face. It always makes every vet who comes to see him smile too!

Laura Wheelers 6 month update post on Herbie - proves perseverence and love and tlc pay off. Inspiring

my gorgeous husband getting out of his van tonight when he got home, I desperately needed a huge hug and have missed him terribly all day. He makes me smile every day :D
