My hunter clipped TB is usually such a pansy and gets cold very easily but so far this Winter he seems to be acting the opposite!

About 3 nights now I've had to change his rug when doing a late night check as he has been to hot. Last night he was only in a 100g and I had to swap him down to a fleece, I don't think he has EVER been warm enough in a fleece when clipped! I know it's not particularly cold at the moment but still

I took his temperature tonight but all is normal so maybe he has just toughened up a bit since last Winter, would be good if he was less of a wimp when the cold weather sets in  :D

So what are yours wearing in the stable during the night?

2 of mine one fully clipped bar head and legs and one fully clipped bar legs are both out in 200g turnouts (out 24/7)

They seem to be toasty, will upgrade when the weather turns, but its quite warm at the moment round us (not often below 10oC)

Mine has a trace clip and she has been too hot in a 100g stable rug when I have been out to stables late to top up hay. Last couple of nights she has been fine in her lighter fleece which is really unusual for her this time of year.

My stabled high %age TB, chaser clipped pair are both naked. I tried a rug on the new boy and he just sweated up so whilst they are happy they will stay unrugged.

My TB is fully clipped and is only wearing a waffle rug at night whilst in and apart from this week when it has been wet, has been out in the day naked, but is now in the thinest nz I own! It really is mild down here and she is quite a 'hot' horse, anymore clothing and she is sweating.

My ISH is fully clipped and out in a MW with neck at the mo. When he comes in at night as of this weekend he will be out without the neck and in naked, as his stable is indoors

Mw cob had second full clip tonight legs and half head off too. Was toasty in a light stable rug when I left. Will go out in the morning with a mw without a neck. But he is a toasty boy.

mine are hunter clipped and still in rain sheets no fill, and are plenty warm. most are still out 24/7 as so mild and dry. tho we did have rain today and a couple of them were sweating in the rain sheets.

TB with growing out chaser clip,in tonight & has lightweight rug on. Had m/w last night but looked a bit hot & flustered when I got there this morning. Felt just right when I left at 6pm & temp not going to drop much overnight.
Had very l/w,no fill on in field today never, ever used that rug in November before!!!
