Ermm two naked boys here! Im in Glasgow and my 2 and 3 yr old BWBs are out in the altogether. Its a bit chilly overnight but it was roasting during the day today and Id rather they were slightly chilly for a few hours than melting for most of the day.
Exmoor and Shetland, nothing. The Shetland gets rugged if very wet and cold (mid twenties, arthritic) the Exmoor if he's clipped but he's not this year.
Me, I'm in a throw from the spare bed and woolly socks with a dog on my lap, brrrr!!
GreyDonk (in at night) has a Rhino cotton summer sheet on . . . mostly to keep him clean but also b/c he has two barbed wire wounds on his bum that I'd prefer stayed free of gunk.
Egyptian Arab has a cotton summer sheet on, others on yard have various versions of waffle rugs on. He's a hot bod, so is usually in a thinner rug than anyone else.
Rainy and windy here, been waking up to groundfrost every morning for a few days very cold for september!
The newforest has a heavyweight outdoor rug on (only because she has no middleweight and i worry the lightweight would make her colder as suggested above.) Her rug however isn't what you'd call 'heavyweight' compared to the average rug. More middleweight.
The tb has a middleweight outdoor on and I'm considering putting a layer under that!
Very bitter winds here right now Don't want to over-rug TOO much or they won't feel the benefit as I think we're in for a VERY VERY cold winter where I am
