Just out of curiosity.... I'm looking to change mine since the horse came back from his disasterous sale. I've begun lessons with him and my god he's changed. I dont know what they did to him in those 24hrs but he's changed for the better!
And since he has been going better I have noticed that I'm starting to struggle with the saddle. Its a bates VSD, and although very comfortable, I can no longer sit deep enough on it. Now he's holding and using himself better I'm getting thrown out of it more and had thought about getting a dressage saddle to go with it. After speaking to a friend though she has suggested I swap it for a decent jumping saddle and a decent dressage, rather than blow all my money on a new dr saddle. She told me that I would be more secure in a jumping for when I jump rather than my VSD and obv the dr saddle would help with my flat work. Now my other question will be do they do jumping saddles that suit people with short legs? The reason I had a VSD was because the flaps on a standard gp saddle were too big and made me feel really unsecure and I'm concernd that I would have the same problem on a jumping saddle...
