I have a fab 14.2hh irish bred mare (see photo below) that I am thinking of breeding from (using embryo transfer) next season. My daughter is wanting to event seriously as she gets older and we thought that this might be a way to try and breed something nice for her to event in the future.
The mare is an out and out schoolmistress at BE100 level, consistently jumping double clear inside the time and finishing on her dressage score, and will hopefully go on to do some novice level next year - but she is not a pony who should compete at that level every time out. She is a scopey sj having been placed at junior foxhunter and her dressage is improving all the time.
But ... she is not a big mover (especially in front so finds medium trot difficult!) and has a slightly long back. so would be looking to find a nice upstanding, short coupled big moving stallion to try to breed something for eventing - prefer predominantly thoroughbred in the breeding.
Any suggestions as to who to use - he would need to have proven track record jumping / eventing.
