These are what I use, each horse has which ever they need from this lot atm
Biotin - for poor feet
Horse 1st Garlic and more - general
NAF Oestress - settled her when she came in after holiday
NAF Pink Powder - boost for the ones turned out or one that had v loose droppings
TRM Isopro 2000 electrolytes - for after hard work and a v sweaty horse.
Table salt - for one turned out that doesnt drink enough
Cortaflex HA - vet recommendation
ASU Supplement - ditto cortaflex
Horse first relax me - calmer
She does get electrolyes if she has sweated alot, but thats only been once so far!! She is on Topspec though that covers the everyday supplement/hoof supplement etc, and she may go on Relax Me at some stage, we will see
mine get a glug of oil and electolytes day before and day of comp/hunting. couple of liveries on bluechip and seaweed. all fed good quaility food and ad lib hay/haylage/grass. its a consumers market.
grade a - cortaflex & propel/redcelll - for obvious reasons!
youngsters - propell or redcell if travelling/competing alot.
if any of them have anything specifically wrong ie rubbish feet then ill feed something relevant but otherwise i dont give them anything else as routine - would be too expensive!
monty gets (my 19year old chestnut in sig);
1 scoop per day Cortavet powder (NOT cortflex, it is cortavet, it is better but more expensive
and more concentrated so less is needed)
and a big slush of conditioning oils in his dinner
(cheapo stuff from local tack shop, can't remember what it is called)
bugsy gets (bay in sig);
1 scoop of cortavine/cordamine
cant remember the name of it...but is for cribbers and reduces any excess acid in stomache due to cribbing, so prevents/helps ulcers etc.
he also gets a bit slush of cheap conditioning oils
shiny coats all round! lol
Dani gets (TB...not in sig though lol);
1 scoop of Biota supplement
and again a big slush of oils for coat/joints etc
Mine has a known injury so gets quite a lot of joint support. He's also fed straights so needs a vitamins supplement.
Joint supplement (Arthriaid)
MaxVit (broad spectrum vitamins and minerals)
Devil's Claw (NAF)
Green Lipped mussel extract (from Holland and Barratt)
Electrolytes if sweaty.
