With my bad back, I spend a fair bit of time laid on a heating pad, cranked up the max. By this logic, I should have a back of rippling muscles, but the bra rolls beg to differ.

Madness! I always thought over rugging contributed to fat horses This appears to be the opposite of the old fashioned approach to let your horse 'shiver off' the fat and let them sweat it off instead.
