what to wear while hunting?

beige/cream jodphurs, hunting shirt, stock & pin, hunting jacket(black/Navy), depending on gender, long boots are better for hunting. hairnet for long hair, and hard hat. Think I have remembered everything. I'd borrow what I can, If I were you, no point in spending a fortune and you mightn't "take" to it, as all that gear costs a fortune when added up. best of luck hunting, hope you have a great day.;)

Check in the Hunting Forum on here - there's lots of advice. If you haven't had your opening meet yet you shouldn't be wearing black/navy hunt coats you should still be in tweeds (ratcatcher). But that's if you following etiquette to the "t".

Anything from the katie price range really. Head to toe pink for cubbing, diamantes after opening meet. Hair flowing down your back, use extensions if yours short, & no hat so it can hang loose. Plenty of jewellery too. Make sure gloves are same shade of pink as whip though. And its a sign of respect to wear pink hunter wellies. Horses matchy matchy can be pink or purple, but make sure its personalized. It's correct to also put pink ribbons in horses mane & tail. And a brightly coloured rucksack with lunch in, just tell the mfh when you want him to stop while you eat. And lots of hi viz too.

You need to speak to the hunt sec. its polite to let them know you want to join them for the day.
They will tell you clothes, etiquette, insurance needs (ours recommend joining the countryside alliance), and cost.

dont forget the i-pod speakers and full face of make up- put it on REALLY thick just in case it rubs off.

That's right cuppatea, although lipstick stops are ok, 'yo, stop mo-fo' is the correct terminology for calling the field to a halt. Except when you need a wee, when you should address the whipper in with the phrase 'where are the bogs my good man?'

Littlelegs and cuppatea!!

You forgot to mention a full 'essex' tan, the deeper mahogany the better!!

And false eyelashes, according to your rank on the field, for example the mfh may well wear 3 or 4 pairs at anyone time but as a simple field follower, one set is advisable.

Drink plenty at the meet, and take a flask of stella.

Your horse should be fit for purpose, like this....

Sorry buds mum, your hunt must be a bit odd, skol or a 2 litre bottle of aldi cider is considered the norm here. And remember the secretary has a job to do, hand them your mobile, they can then answer calls & reply to texts on your behalf. And remember you'll never move up the eyelash ranks without demonstrating your ability to overtake the master. Be sure to remind the huntstaff to 'keep their ****ing dogs on a lead & away from my horse' too.
