What trailer do you own?

Bateson Ascot - Light & airy, and the horses travel far better in it than anything else. I woulnd't have an Ifor even if I was paid to. The only times my very good to travel mare has had issues has been in an Ifor.

Rice Beaufort double - solidly made and a light and airy feel inside with really good ventilation. Afraid I'm not an Ifor fan either for a number of reasons but each to their own, people will have had good and bad experiences with all makes I'm sure.

Oh dear I have an Ifor!! :p

Mine is an ifor 505 and I have absolutely no problems with it what so ever :D

Why did i go for that one? Took it in part exchange when i sold my horsebox. But i do really like it. Easy to hitch on my own, ramps and partitions are easy to open and close. Tows nicely.

Brand new Ifor HB511. Needed a trailer that could take 2 x 17.2hh and couldn't find any decent second hand ones, plus I love the new Ifor's very smart and roomy and lots of light with the windows added on the sides.

Has anybody ever towed a Cheval Liberte? We're looking for our first trailer and my dad seems to really like them! Just wondering what trailers people had for more suggestions for him... Even though I doubt I'd change his mind!

havent any experience of the Cheval Liberte, not sure its one Id go for going by some of the posts about them on here.

I've just bought a Wessex three horse trailer, very pleased with it, much preferred it to anything else for space and build quality and price.

Ifor Williams 403 for me................I have to do everything on my own and only one smallish horse so;

Easy to manoever
Don't have to mess with partitions
Can tack up - loads of space
Could downgrade to smaller tow vehicle when the time comes to swap vehicles

plus light, airy, masses of space, side opening windows etc etc................can you tell I love my trailer

Ifor 511 at the moment, light and airy and I could have the front ramp put on the opposite side (unlike the older ifors). Will be selling it shortly as I'm getting a lorry, will be sad to see it go really!

... and a crappy 2 horse straight bumper pull, but that has ducks in it at the moment.

Used to have a 505 years ago then converted to a lorry. Have sold the horsebox so now looking for a new trailer - thought of a 511 - any views? Does the Bateson Ascot tke over 16.2? I have a v-e-r-y long 16.3 mare and wouldn't want her btm hanging out behind...

An Ifor 510.

Had it 6 years now, and what a fabulous trailer. Been all over the country in it, and never let me down. OH is a mechanic and he services it once a year. Apart from a new light cable, been bliss. Brakes had to be adjusted once but thats it.

Wouldn't have another, why fix what isn't broken? The horses love it, never had a horse refuse to go in it, it's bliss. :D

love my 505 had it for over 8 years and brought it from my friend who had it 5 years before me, over the years i have put a new floor in it new lights tyres etc and painted it as sick of trying to find it at a show :)

going to have to sell it as i will be soon getting a 3.5 tonne horsebox but i will miss my solid realiable ifor williams trailer!!

I had good service out of my Ifor 505 (hence considering the 511 - although the price makes me wince) but wanted to know if others were as good/better/less horribly expensive etc before reaching for the cheque book. The new Defender has left it looking a bit rubbery ....

I have a brand new Ifor 506, in navy, I love it to bits. My dad thinks it is far too nice to put horses in and threatens to take it camping instead.

He tows it and says it it fab to pull, we used to have an old trailer made by E Ward of York, which was so heavy but did us for about 15 years in light work, it must have been about 30 years old!
