I've got a horse at home that I am bringing back into work and will then spend some time bringing him on.

He is a TB but is VERY fluffy, especially on his neck. He is quite a hot horse and sweats up very quickly when in work.

I was thinking of doing a high chaser clip to start with but I'm not sure if this will take enough of his neck.

So what clip would you recommend?

i would get it done quite soon, as i usually do my last clip in february!!
where abouts does he normally sweat the most, cause they are the areas you need to think about removing the hair from.

I did think a blanket clip would be good but I am absolutely useless at them, I really struggle with the bit over the hind legs

They usually end up with a full clip

I feel like I should do a blanket crossed with a chaser but that will look stupid!

This is a sort of chaserxblanket clip. It actually looks really nice I think. Possibly higher than you would need, but you get the idea!
Please excuse horrid piccy of the madam!

I was thinking more like this

Would I be able to take him out in public?

I rarely follow 'proper clips' and tend to go with what suits the horses shape and workload, and how much they sweat and where. Doesn't matter unless you're showing, as long as your pponio is comfortable.
