As title really.

With everything put on hold for the foreseeable future; just wondering what everyone would have been doing right now??

I'm not a "competer" as such; just a happy hacker really and wannabee TREC'ie, but one thing I WOULD have wanted to achieve with my youngster would have been to work at her education on a few more fun rides, getting her loaded up (we're working on that at home!) and also more used to being with larger groups of horses than the small herd she's got at home, and we'd planned to go to not only some local rides but also have a bash at a few small local shows.

So nothing big in the huge scheme of events, but that was us and those were our small goals!

Anyone else??

Right now? I would be asleep, not working this early on a bank holiday!

Pony goals: to compete (we've worked hard all winter to be ready). I guess we'll do that next year!

I’d be back in England, spending a lot of time at my great riding school practising for a few low level Dressage comps, then brushing piles of hair out of my dear RS horse whilst he munched on his haynet and swallows flitted in and out of the stable.

In this topsy turvy world I would actually be giving my horse a couple of weeks off as it would have been the dressage ireland winter champs last weekend. We had a load of training comps and lessons planned on the few weeks leading up so we would have needed a break. They were cancelled though so we took things slower than planned and keeping him ticking over now and cementing a few of things in the hope of competing again at a higher level next time.

I've resigned myself to the fact that it might be a year before we are out competing again, I dont think shows will go ahead over the summer and I swore I would not do another winter qualifying season as so hard to keep us at our peak with bad weather, too much mucking out, too dark and shows postponed all over the shop.

The only way I might is if I can get out in the autumn and get my qual scores before the weather gets too bad. That will only happen though if I can ensure i can keep my husband shielded from the CV as he is high risk. Otherwise i dont go out and about until theres a vaccine or herd immunity

We would have been taking newbie out for his first ODE today!
Otherwise we had an xc clinic planned for last Sunday and a few local unaffiliated dressage comps too... had been looking at joining Dressage Ireland too but have parked that idea for now!!

Right now I would be sitting or standing in front of the computer watching Youtube videos and reading and commenting on web fora, while waiting for the rest of the family to wake up and get out of bed...

Intensive revision for my next exam, and was looking forward to an intensive week where I'm training. Plus schooling my fave boy at work.

Being out of the horsey world now we would have travelled a little bit further to do some mountain biking at either comrie croft or ae forrest.
I was getting very fit before all this so i would have been flying round the trails ..as soon as i can im getting my fat arse back into the gym.!!

today i would have been looking at cars to find something that ticks all of my boxes and is not too dear. i need a highish driving seat and an automatic gearbox and heated seats, thats all for me, and a flat boot after the seats are down for my dogs cage. i have got a short list from the internet but need to see the cars in real life. looks like i will be waiting a long time. other days i would have been going to friend's lessons or competitions and giving her a hand. also looking at horses for sale for another friend, dont have my own now so live through my friends and enjoy the horsey contact when i help them, again another long wait me thinks:(

Today was to be our point to point. I'm the Secretary so I would have been standing in a windy field watching several thousand people shop for nice things, eat locally sourced food and watch some of the best horses in the country race round the track.
The only thing happening on the course today is sheep grazing!

@splashgirl45 is a Honda CRV on your list? My stepbrother had similar requirements and that's what he bought.
no it is a bit too big as there is only me and the dogs most of the time and i felt it was going to be a pig to park, thanks anyway....any suggestions welcome , i have a short list of kia niro, skoda karoq and vw golf sv from my online investigations. i think i discounted the hrv as it said it had firm suspension and wasnt a good ride on country roadswhich are the type of roads i use all of the time and as i am an oldie i want a bit of comfort....

Henry would be doing his first ever ODE next weekend in prep for his BE debut in may ?
Alnwick Ford are still preparing for their event in June which I think is very optimistic of them, i cant see anyone being ready to even then even if we are out of lockdown

I'd have taken B2 out to his first local inhand show in preparation for our local County show (which at present is still planning on going ahead in September). And possibly leaning over/sitting on him for a wonder round the paddock.
I'd like to think that B1 would by now be hacking a couple of times a week with a schooling session in between.

Today in particular, would be like it was - working. But in general i had planned to get out hacking more, lessons, do some clinics and some dressage comps.
I just feel grateful that I can still see my horse just now. There’s always next year - fingers crossed.

My life has remained virtually unchanged since the lockdown really, I’m a loner and homebody essentially and my pleasures are my horses, dog and cat and garden. However I was getting my younger horse schooled once a week and hoped to up the lessons and finally get out to do some low level competitions this year. Also was debating transport and whether I could afford a trailer.

Today I’d have been at work whatever but I’d have been be getting ready to go to Holland for what would have been my ‘biggest’ event so far...

I would be riding both of mine (only riding the Welsh as lunging doesn't suit him at all and the connie can be sharp to hack)

I would also be planning hacking to the two local arenas with the connie with take part in clinics and competitions/arena hire to get back into the swing of it after having winter off. However, all this staying at home is helping my save for my new towing car so may not take quite as long so that's positive :D
