I'm 5'2" 11 stone and ride my 14.1 NF type x ID very comfortably.
She was very scrawny as a 2yr old but fell abroad nicely and can carry my weight with ease.
Her dam was 12.2 NF mare and her sire was ID.
She was a happy mistake.![]()
I'm 6'1" tall, weigh 12 stone and ride a 14.2hh purebred NF with no issues. So, I would say a 14.2hh IDx NF will carry you with ease.
BTW, that sounds like a really nice cross, any pics?
Absolutely lovely.
If you're in no rush I'd hang on and see - he will grow for years if he is only two... and fill out a lot as well. He's good strong legs even now, and a nice wide frame, so quite likely to carry you. He looks very like one of my ISH - nice wide chest!
My 2 and half year old is about 14.1h and still growing. I think he may make 14.2 at a push 14.3. I'm 5ft 4 and weigh about 11stone ( i do need to lose a stone) should i hang on and wait to see what he makes or sell him? i have the opportunity of a 16.2hh on loan WVTB but he is going to make 17hh and im worried that i maybe over horsed. Me and my youngster are very attached to each other he is very aware of who i am and we have a great bond i would be devastated to let him go after i've waited all this time...Do you think he will be big enough for me. he's ID X NF...
