Mine is worked 5 days a week and has calm and condition and chop, just finished the speedibeet but I don't think he needs it now. Also has ad lib hay on a night..Wondering What do you feed yours and will it or has it changed now grass is coming through? my boy also still slightly
ribby anyone got any photos of your tb at the moment?

Mine's currently on Alfa A oil, high fibre horse and pony nuts, plus his supplements (milk thistle, pink powder senior, heptaosyl).

Mine is on a scoop off baileys topline cubes, hi fi un molassed, linseed and yea sac twice a day.
Nice weight at the mo

Mine is on 1 scoop of happy hoof, 1/2 scoop of conditioning cubes and 1 scoop of speedibeet. He is out 24/7 and rugged according to the weather. He comes in for 1-2hours for a chance to munch some hayledge but now the grass is coming through he usually gets fed up after about 30mins and wants to be put back out lol. He is ridden 4-5days a week but mainly hacking.

No recent pictures im afraid but he is a good weight, just needs some more consistent and faster work to build up some fitness and muscle!

Mine is worked 6 or 7 days a week ranging from pessoa work on the lunge, to 1hr schooling, to 3hr hacks. She is turned out 24/7 on ok grass and has a small scoop of Pure Easy to put her regumate in. She is a little fat!

He's just had his shoes off to have a go at the barefoot so he's just being lead around at the moment he's rising six and just under seventeen hands.
He's in around five to six hours a day has low sugar haylage when he's in and a level scoop of hi fi molasses free and one of Alfa a molasses free 400 grammes oats 150 grammes linseed and mag ox a multi vit and salt its what he was eating when working he looks great neither fat or tin I will have keep an eye on him, the padlock is quite bare now he and his friend have been eating it off and will move to a fresh one in a few days and the fatties will go where they are now. He's in a lite wieght rug but I will take that off ASAP.
He's a good doer eats up well a great thing in a TB.

I must be lucky. Mine is being fed grass and a handful of unmollased chaff for supplement for ulcers that's all. And he is good condition. He schools twice a week hacks once or twice weather dependant. Out 24/7 at mo

The new photobucket edit programme was driving me potty as it wouldn't let me save my changes! Gah! :( Hopefully this will work and not be huuuuuge.

So, retired TB in her early 20's, turned out with no hard feed.

Our new tb mare has gone from a skinny ribby little thing with jutting hip bones to a gorgeous mare with the most beautiful coat with a nice covering in just 6 weeks of having her. She had been left all winter to waste away and when we got her in april we put her on calm and condition hi-fi original and saracen soya oil and it has done wonders, i swear by soya oil, it's been gold dust to her!

She is ridden 4-5 times a week when weather permits! we do hacking schooling, lunging and hope to start jumping soon.

heres a few piccys, before and after.. the before pics don't really show how poor she was due to her thicker coat!

Mine is having 1 scoop Alfa A, 1 scoop Spillers horse annd pony cubes plus 2 cups of D&H Hi Fibre Nuts at the moment to use them up our pony has come off them, and then her topspec healthy hoof supplement, plus lots of hay when in at night.

She is lunged about 3 times a week in a pessoa or side reins, then flatwork other days and either 1 or 2 days of a week although been abit more recently due to the hideous weather :(

Think she is looking quite well at the moment.
This was taken about a month ago: Sorry don't have any other side on pics from recently without me on her.

Fast fibre twice a day with micronised linseed and a few other supplements - ad lib haylage at night and out during the day in a field with fairly poor grazing. Light hacking or long-reining about 5 days per week for about 40 minutes a time due to a lot of limb conditions. She looks absolutely fabulous but I've no recent photos - I'll try and get some at weekend.

Mine is a real good doer and is in at night to get him off the grass or he gets too fat, with obvious risks. Then he just has a haynet and half a scoop of chaff to mix his Farrier's Formula into. Certainly the cheapest horse to keep I've ever owned! He's worked most days too.

Mine is out 24/7 and gets fed once a day. 1 scoop chaff, 1 scoop of conditioning cubes and a mug of outshine. I'll probably cut him down a bit now as weight wise he's pretty spot on, just need to keep building muscle!

Mine gets
2kgs Lucerne Chaff
3kgs Whole oats
1.5kgs SR Barley
Mineral mix

Split into a morning and a night feed. He's out in the paddock 24/7 and gets chucked hay when needed, and had a round bale over summer when the grass got a little sparse. He's put on heaps of weight compared to when I got him, and is looking fabulous. And my purse loves me too ;)

Mine are out 24/7 on good grazing but only a small patch as I don't want them to trash it all whilst it's still wet.
They get 1 scoop mollichaff senior, 1 scoop conditioning cubes, 1/2 mug micronised linseed & pink powder. Twice a day.
They are rugged accordingly & also given a bit of hay - couple of slices a night.
One is in light to med work (but is 17 & needs a little help holding weight). The other is I'm med work & isn't a brilliant doer & needs top line.

My lot are in fairly light work, they're out 24/7 and just get a handful of nuts with their supplements in. I think they're looking good on it, although George looks a bit too well if you ask me and is certainly acting a bit too well!!

Monty from about a week ago (couldn't find an untacked one)

What's the best way the help ribs disappear has him since aug but always been able to see them..no matter what I've fed him, tried a few things and hes wormed regularly. They are only slightly visable at the moment..

My 22 year old is just coming back into work after injury, so doing light work 3-4 days a week. He is out 24/7 and has access to good grass during the day, a scoop of molichaff condition (with a few carrots!), pink powder senior, and a small net of haylage in the evenings.

Mine is an allrounder. We do BE80 and 90 ODE's, RC SJ, BD and a few other bits and pieces. He's 7 and 16.1hh.
Hes on just a scoop of hifi with a handful of fibre nuts morning and night with his pink powder. Plus grass during the day and hay at night. He's looking rather well! The grass at our yard is very ummm potent shall we say, so none of the horses at my yard need much feed :).

Nothing. All are youngsters unworked. All out 24/7 all year.

One is on hay and haylage as is in a smaller field and keeps himself moving lots. The others have been rationed all winter as are all fatties.

I steered clear of tb's and was always told they were a nightmare to keep the weight on, )I then ended up with one and then the rest of her family followed :p )
I've found the opposite with mine and we are not on ridiculously lush grass, they're better doers than the cobs!

Same. Good doer, completely sweet tempered chestnut mare, doesnt need shoes on those 'typical' TB feet. Lot of stereotypes blown out of the water with her :)

Forgot the feet, all ours seem to have incredible feet for tb's too. The only problem is that two are smarter than is helpful!

I'm also lucky to have a very good doer. Handful of Alfa A original to mix his formula 4 feet into and a glug of cider apple vinegar. I wish he'd just eat the f4f on it's own though as he really could do with being a little less, ahem, portly :o
