Whatever happened to string cooler rugs

I have a cooler which is fleece along the top half, and mesh/netting bottom half which is great!
Works very well, keeps the back warm and lets the air circulate at the same time

Love my thermatex, however only really use it late autumn to early spring!

I threw mine away the other day - only used it a couple of times but found my waffle cooler did the job quicker!

I have two - bought new a couple of years ago so they are still around. Really useful to put on under another to help dry a horse off.

I've got a nice Mark Todd one, always put it on after cross-country and hunting and usually to travel. I don't see why people don't use them more really reckon they work better than a fleece myself xx

I used to love mine but they're no where. Near as good as a wicking fabric fleeces or cooler ~ when i returned to horses i was so impressed with the coolers

I still use them! I use my mums which must be about 30 years old now!

It's so old the rats have tried to chew it but it still works, here is madam modelling hers before she had her fleece chucked over
