What's on your Christmas shopping list?!

Nothing!! We don't celebrate christmas, if we need something and have the money we buy it when we want it, if not we save up. Don't need a "special" day to do that!

Haha Maisie, sounds like my thoughts exactly. Same as when people look surprised when my OH and I never buy anything for each other for our birthdays or anniversaries.

I'd rather he got me a surprise spur of the moment present because he saw it and thought I'd like it, than feeling forced to get me something and panicking cos he didn't know what to get.

Some of my friends end up getting really competitive with their partners and are of the mindset "well he spent 100 on me, so I've got to spend more than that."

what would be nice would be for my horse to stay sound and healthy over the xmas period (he was on antibiotics last year). On the other hand I'd love to get a hay-hutch for his hay in the stable, travel boots, a new nameplate and embroidered saddlepad for when we go on our adventures next year!

fingers crossed for you and him. thats a lovely thing to wish for

That's how we feel! We used to celebrate when husband's son was younger, but he's 19 now and off with his mates for xmas - we do give him some money so he can buy what he wants though.

I do find it incredibly sad that people are so competitive at xmas and feel they have to outdo each other in the value of presents. The best presents are not the expensive ones - they are the little things that have been given lots of thought.

Would love to get loads of small things for starting some ODE's next year, eventing boots, new riding clothes, new numnah, ect. Trying to convince OH to buy me some horsey stuff this year but don't think its going to work!
