What's the best way to tie down trailers to stop them going walkabouts?

Check what your insurance company says to what you need. mine says that i have to have a wheel clamp on it for them to cover the trailer - so make sure you add the security measures your insurance company tells you too.

I have a heavy duty wheel clamp on the rear wheel and i have a lockable hitch which i have locked a ball into it. one of these http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Horse-Tra...t=UK_Horse_Wear_Equipment&hash=item3f13c64700

the reason behind having this even though i have a lockable hitch is that the thieves just use a smaller tow ball!! then it doesnt matter about the lockable hitch as they just tow it as is and then drill it later for using normally.

Just make it stand out from the crowd so its easily identifiable and get it insured (mine costs £70 a year so not that expensive)
