What's your favourite breed of horse?

TB crosses, they are generally brill. Ihave had experiences with sec d x tb, clydesdale x tb, id x tb all lovely animals with a good turn of speed. My current horse is tb x knabstrupper and i am in love :) x

TBs followed by Exmoors, Cleveland Bays, Fells and Dales, i.e. all the unfashionable breeds.
Their time will come.

Unfashionable - maybe, but before I got said Crabbets, I had a Dales and blimey what a horse! light as feather to ride, jumped like a stag - amazing mare. She was on loan from atrekking centre I worked at and they needed her back, broke my heart:( Got said 31yo 3 weeks later - heart mended:D

Arabs without a doubt. I love their flighty nature and way they carry themselves. I adore the way they look too, so elegant and beautiful. Their stamina and power never fails to impress me either. They are such a wonderfully versatile breed and can really turn a hoof to anything. I know some Arabs that are tougher than cobs - they require no feed yet are in full work at least 5 days a week, and live out most of the year without a rug on - not bad for a horse that originates from one of the hottest places on Earth! The way they really spice up a cross breed is fantastic too. I wouldn't trade my Welsh C x Arab for the world. Once Sketch is ready for retirement, I'd definitely go for an Arab or Anglo Arab. Most definitely my breed of choice. :)

WHOO< HOOO !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!, couldnt put it better myself, Arabs are absolutely DIVINE!!!!

OK I have lots of favourite breeds!! In no particular order!!:
1) Morgans!! My first horse was a morgan who really taught me my centre of balance!! Rather nutty but boy could she jump!!
2) Welsh sec A's I just adore their cute heads and little ears!!
3) Warmbloods for their oooo..... everything except maybe brains!!!!

I have a lot of favourites too :D Have always owned TB's so they're definitely on the list. Love Appaloosas too (currently have an AppyxTB). Would love to own a Quarter Horse one day, a proper foundation type though, i think they're wonderful animals! Would also love to own an Akhal Teke, a very under-rated breed imo. Also have a soft spot for Trakenhers :D Oh, and Connemaras. I'll be after a TBxConnie as my next horse. Not many then...

Sorry, Very self indulgent, but heres my fab, fab, fab pure arab

Got to be the Arab for me every time. My first horse was PBA and absolutley fab (RIP my sweet boy), my second horse is Welsh Sec D x Arab. The arab bit of her is very nice..., the welsh bit, very stroppy but nice when you get to know her...:), my third and final horse (as i'm getting on a bit now...) is my pure bred 5 year old Arab gelding.

He is 85% Egyption 15% Polish and does qualify as 45% Crabbet. He is the sweetest, kindess horse i have every known who is so willing to learn and who loves being with me..

Arabians by a mile... the sweetest, kindest and gentlest breed of horse there is

they are so understanding and you could not get a more loyal horse if you tried

There is nothing like sitting on the back of a horse that is so strong yet so light, so powerful yet so gentle, so magnificent yet so caring... the feeling you get when you are sat on the purest breed in the world and you look behind you and see a tail held high with pride and their ears pricked forwards...

they will carry you to the end of the earth and back and give you their hearts...

plus they are as tough as old boots, never break, sick or sorry

perfection

xxxx

Appaloosa's are my favourites, the current one is the second, had the old girl until she was 33, when she was pts. The current girl is less spotty, but is registered and the bit that isn't appy is arab :) She is bright, safe in traffic, but very very sharp. :D

Thoroughbreds, without even having to think about it!!! though I do also love what i've seen of Zangersheides and would love one of those too!!!

hm well many might find this strange as most people think shetlands are moody lil buggers but I adore them and would say there not moody just a little horse with a big character hehe! Also I have a soft spot for lovely TBs expesially ex racers (don't quiet know why!) they just always get me:)!

I love arabs as they're so fantastic to ride, and beautiful too.
Section Ds for their sense of humour.
Dales are lovely.
Iberians - no matter how grubby my horse is he just looks magnificent!! He can be a sod tho! So I'd love a PRE.

I always go for a tb cross something, although I have also had a welsh D-he was a dude. And a full tb- currant one, he's ace (well in my eyes.) He's not a normal hot headed one, very laid back, so i think im becoming a full tb covert!

Don't have a favorite breed either! :) So long as it does the job, is the right type, and has a lovely temperament then I don't mind.

I have one very plain TBxCob who is an absolute star, and is super talented, and one ISH, who stands out, is very talented, but a complete idiot, and goes around with her hind legs in the air most of the time. They're all individual in my mind.
