Whats your favourite make of jodphur/breeches?

I bought some gallop jodhpurs from www.countrysmiths.co.uk a while back and have to say I love them. I used to be a caldene and equetech fan, but I like the gallop jods just as much and find they wear well but are far cheaper. They also seem a little longer in the leg too which I like.

Well....for sheer value for money and durablilty.....some phoneix jods....they arnt flashy but considering i have had mine for 13 years and they were second hand when i got them!!! and have worn them day in day out since....they havent had anyproblems with zips, waistbands etc going, the stitching is all perfect. They are amazing!

I also love my Musto breeches i bought last december, they are the comfyest thing i have ever ridden in, and were a bargain at £20 at the equine fair!! retail for about £60! so im doubly pleased with them!!!

Equetech full seat breeches are a real favourite .... tho Caldene do have some very nice green check ones with a navy seat at moment

What are the seams in the crotch like on all these jods?:o I have massive issues with bulky seams.. I think mine are equetech ones. Can't remember as the pain was so bad I havent worn then in a long time and mostly ride in a pair of old new look stretchy skinny jeans! Much much more comfortable!

Kerrits (anyone who follows my twitter will know why :p:D) for everyday or hanging around the barn, Pikeur and Tailored Sportsman for smart/competing

Love my Tally Ho's, very similar to a Caldene pair that I bought years ago which I can't seem to buy anymore :(

Fit like your Pikeurs but half the price.:D

My fave make is Horka the dutch make-they seem to fit me as if they were made to measure, i have quite a few pairs of theirs now, Equetech also seem to fit me well and are my 2nd fave - the full seats on both makes are very good too, nice and stretchy so you can bend your knees! -don't know why but find Pikeurs too baggy and don't fit me as well!

I recently had a jods/breeches spring clear out and then replaced them all with full seated breeches- the shopping is the fun bit! enjoy!

I love my Ariats....also Caldene and a couple of pairs of Joules breeches I got a few years ago fit well and wash nicely- don'y know if they still do them though.

I fancy a pair of Mustos myself.....

(Hope valley saddlery do a lot of Ariat sales)

I have a pair by Just Togs and they are my favourite ones, they're jodhpurs but are made out of comfy material and are a comfy style and fit. I have a nice pair of Gorringe ones for shows. I want to get some Pikeur ones but they are very expensive for something that's going to get covered in mud/hair etc so will stick to my cheap comfy ones for now haha

Sherwood denim jods for everyday - very reasonable and last ages. Lucinda green for showing and KP white denim style for showjumping (not from choice they are the only white jods that fit and are not totally transparent)

Most comfortable and hard wearing ones I have ever had are Eurostar - had a pair of Start breeches that lasted about 5 years, and just got a new pair of Huntress/hunters. Sooo comfy.

Like my Pikeur Jeans too :)

Eurostar and Kentucky. Both pricey, so I look out for them in sales, but are worth paying the extra for. For general use, I like Mountain Horse and Mark Todd. I have, however, just bought a pair of FEROTI full seat breeches from Ebay for a tenner (there's more available on Ebay). Obviously I don't know yet how long they'll last, but even if they only last this summer, I call that a bargain at £10. They're actually really, really comfortable!

Derby House full seat ones!! They are really good, I've had a pair - think they are called Ottowa that have lasted 5 years. They are well priced and they often have offers!!

Pikeur definately - I have pairs that are 10 years old and still going strong - Big tip here - use Dylon machine dye when breeches containing cotton look a bit sad - find a colour near enough to the original and dye away - the Pikeur Lugana come up brilliantly, even the seat dyes well too, and I have even been asked if I have new breeches! - Same goes for faded numnahs too!

Also breeches called 'Skinetics' Used to be Bentex - have the stickiest seat known to man!

I have recently bought 2 pairs of caldene jods. They're junior everyday jods (I am 5ft8 and they fit me fine) and theyre so comfortable, worn them daily and they're really durable.

I have done the same I am tall as well and they fit a treat in the length, and being junior they are alot cheaper than buying the adults ones which cost much more
