Thankfully never come across fistulas withers - due to different saddles now most probably - wonder I didn't get a fistulas arse riding in some of the older ones though

I wasn't around in the 60's but I certainly remember ponies in the 80's & even early 90's with white hair where saddle sores had healed.

No ladyinred but there were drawings of the stable plans and also a boarding kennel (also fiction).
She made my life pure hell for many years and I was so downtrodden by the workplace bullying at the time i didn't really consider much about this at that point. I probably do feel sorry for her now because I think she had a rather hideous childhood but she was in a position of power over me and she abused that power (I don't mean the imaginary riding lessons!)

It was saddles but often the rugging blankets with jute rugs on top the blankets caught under the roller that held the lots on slipped back and the blankets pushed down on the wither.

I just watched a few clips on YouTube and bizarrely she had a very similar name. This would have been 1998 ISH, when was the green wing on?
Her favourite comments were:
I'm the organ grinder you are the monkey
I don't like that its not hygenical (or racialist).
She used to tell me to type exactly what she wrote in letters so I stopped sorting out horrific grammar and spelling mistakes after that. She did that because we had got a computer so I had saved templates of every letter we needed to send out but she wanted them effectively typewritten every time so I then saved every possible variation of every letter we ever sent out so I'd have one for what she had hand written.
She also got the chairman to agree that I had to wear a skirt and not trousers (the job involved working with animals as well as admin).
There were loads of things like that I can't remember them all. She had an inferiority complex, I know that.

I once worked with someone who claimed that she had cervical cancer. Then after she had supposedly started having treatment she announced that she was also pregnant..with twins ! In the end she disappeared off on sick leave. But someone was suspicious and called the hospital she said she was at but there was no record of her. The next claim was that she'd lost one of the babies but again we couldn't get through to the hospital. In the end we somehow figured out that she'd had a surrogate pregnancy and made up a massive fable to cover her being off work. Some people have very strange imaginary lives.
