Answer to the question is god only knows basically.

Have hated this late winter; turned out winter thermal jods last week as was sooh darned cold. Had (stupidly I know) put it all away. Sick of having wet clothes, saddle & numnahs etc hanging around - the blimmin things stink!

Also - typically - my stable boots have started leaking. Right on cue.

My winter stuff usually stays out until at least the beginning of May. I'm still in the softshell johdpurs, my softshell jacket had a brief rest for my Thursday lesson as it was warm enough for a long sleeved thermal top, but it came back out today! I did, bravely, move into my spring/autumn PJs this weekend though! :)

Well I have just looked at the forecast for my area (middle of the country) and the temperature is staying in single figures for the forseeable with some borderline frost temperatures at times. The dry is making it more bearable but my bones are aching for some heat.

Seems like its never going to dry out, we get a couple of warmer days with no rain and you feel like its starting to dry out then it rains again and back to square one. The forecast from Saturday onwards is rain every.single.day . I am sick of it 😖 my field gate ways are mud baths- about 1 foot deep with mud/water you cant get in or out without getting caked and areas of a couple of the fields are still under water.

My gateways are so bad I've just invested I some mud control mats. Fingers crossed they do the job!

I hear you , this never ending cold and rain has really affected my mental health.
It's overcast here today and not particularly warm , I'm sitting on the sofa under a heated blanket and a dog !

It's a bit better here. I rode past some hay fields at the weekend and they looked amazing, so something must be working. Praying for a dry spell at the right time to get it all cut. My hay supplier is nearly out of last year's hay and no-one else has any to spare either
