I have printed out the BD forms, but I was wondering when the right time is to affiliate? I have a 5 rising 6 year old mare who has been in work for just over five months. She has been to two preliminary competitions unaffiliated, one of which she did ok in (59.16%) and then this weekend's where she qualified for the Prestige Dressage Championship with the highest mark of 67.72% out of 32 horses.
I have two more tests on Wednesday night unaffiliated, but I am starting to think about affiliation so I have something to work towards with her. I had decided that if she got over 65% I would affiliate her this summer, but if she was in the low sixties then I would leave it until the end of the year.
When did everyone else affiiate their horses? (what age, level etc etc)
